Why is model making so important in the design process?

Model making is one of the most valuable parts of any design project. It allows you to slow down, study every detail, and truly understand a space in a way that a site visit alone can’t. By physically recreating a building, you begin to notice proportions, relationships, and opportunities that drawings and photographs often miss.

This final card model became more than just a presentation piece—it was another way of connecting with the building and ensuring every design decision was made with a deeper understanding of the space.
