We are delighted to announce that we’re teaming up with Cornish Knot Co. to bring you a brand-new Granny Square Workshop!

📅 Wednesday 29th July 2026
⏰ 6.00pm – 8.30pm
📍 Threads of Launceston
7 Westgate Street, Launceston PL15 7AB

Whether you've never picked up a hook before or simply fancy learning something new, this workshop is perfect for beginners.

For £48 per person, you'll receive:

🩷 A box of yarn in your choice of colours

🎥 Ongoing support and access to video tutorials after the workshop

We have some very exciting news!! 📣

After many requests (and a fairly long wait!) we’re thrilled to announce that we’ll soon be launching our very first craft classes here at Threads! And we’re kicking things off with Beginners Crochet with the lovely Sarah from Cornish Knot Co. 🧶

Perfect for anyone who’s always wanted to learn but hasn’t known where to start. Watch this space for further details to be announced very soon! 👀

In the meantime we’d love your help…

Following traditional amigurumi crochet techniques worked in the round, these cute kits contain step by step instructions and all you need to create your own charming character 💛

🐝 The bee is designed for beginners, and includes a test swatch to practise holding the hook and trying basic crochet stitches, plus a pre-started magic ring to help you begin your character with ease.

🐢 The turtle is perfect for crafters with a basic knowledge of crochet, looking to improve their current skills.

Don’t forget we have the two entrances to our store, this is our Madford Lane entrance into our wool department and sewing shop section, and we also have our Westgate St entrance into our curtain showroom and sample library area 🧵🪡✂️
