Cowslip Workshops is set in an idyllic location not far from Launceston Golf Club in Cornwall, with stunning views of the Tamar Valley & Launceston castle. We run a variety of different craft workshops and weekly classes ranging from photography or willow work to quilting and patchwork, all organised by Jo Colwill. Jo has worked with textiles all her life, and has designed and made many patchwork

quilts, she loves animals, country life, homemaking, and sharing her creative skills. With this in mind, the shop, workshops, weekly classes activities and exhibitions have been carefully built up over the years, offering students the best tutors, working environment, quality relaxation time and sense of achievement plus an excellent range of country fabrics. Jo and Cowslip recently starred in Kirsty Allsopp's Handmade Britain, featuring Jo teaching Kirsty patchworking skills, and the Cowslip Christmas Fair. There is also a fantastic shop full of beautiful fabrics and a fabulous cafe.

This workshop focuses on her take on the JAPANESE STYLE RICE BAG from a pattern she has perfected over time.The embellishment on the outside of the bag, will be your choice, and can be as elaborate or as simple as you want to make it. This designing will be part of the workshop. Simplicity is often just as effective.
