This handsome guy is a 1940s French foundry overcoat that shows too many signs of wear to count and he is glorious. I’ve been stitching some visible mending over these places and have completely fallen in love with it. I had to add the old English patch though because France/England both have a big piece of my heart! His next stop will be in the gallery at St. Andrews Sewanee in late October to get ready for Sewanee’s Studio Tour December 5-6. ❤️

Well, I have a new job! We visited the Van Hecke chocolatiers today in Belgium and learned how to make hazelnut filled bonbons. It’s pretty addicting and relaxing, actually. Lovely fourth generation family and the love they pour into their products is palpable.
