Sometimes as a maker there are things you just keep for yourself. I do this usually when they are not quite right (hole in slight wrong place for example). This is perfect, there is just this one stone.
Selling it makes sense, I can recoup the cost of the silver, the stone and time. Use that to buy more silver more stones.
The stone is unique, undoubtedly I will at other times get a stone I love, perhaps invest in a high value gem to treat myself. But at this time I love this banded agate, the pattern and the shape.
Best to take it off and have a proper think.

The time of year has come again and are holding their mini print open for the second year. Hoping to make it bigger this year. A full celebration of all hand pulled print methods.

Playing around with 3 lovely little moonstones. Funny how one idea changes with a slight twist of a stone. Initially I thought little flowers, now I am thinking little mushrooms.

Well, what a weekend!!
Thank you to everyone who came to Art In The Park Leamington Spa this weekend. Thank you to everyone who stopped and chatted, had a good look and purchased this weekend. Wonderful weather, wonderful people.
Thank you to the organising team the Art in the Park for such a well organised event.
Looking forward to next year.

A new batch of handprinted lamps are now finished. Gold circles and Lino or ginkgo leaves. Ready for on the 1st and 2nd of August.

Had a lovely few hours today teaching an introduction to Lino Print Making a great group of people from never tried to had a go years ago. They first tried different tools and way to make marks which we then printed onto cards in two layers rotating the block for an abstract print before moving onto their own designs. They all did fantastically well.
Next session on September 12th please go to Leamington Studio Artist website, go to workshops and book from there.
