⭐️🌟 PRODUCT FEATURE!! 🌟⭐️ Fusion Embossing Paste!
Have you used it yet?
Have you tried adding paint to colour it?! 🤩💚

It’s fab for adding raised details and depth to flat surfaces 👏🏻

I have a few tips for this process:
✔️ Tape your stencil in place to prevent it slipping
✔️ Keep the stencil clean by wiping between applications
✔️ Scrape in one direction so as not lift the stencil design
✔️ Leave to dry thoroughly - longer than the instructions suggest - as the paint has added extra moisture which needs to evaporate and dry fully! DON’T TOUCH! 🙂‍↔️

POV: You found a stool in a skip ready for landfill, now she’s in a shop window!! 🪟🤩

It doesn’t get more rags to riches than that!!!✨

For clarity sakes I didn’t actually skip dive (it’s kinda frowned upon!) I saw her next to the skip while walking the 🐕 so I knocked 🚪and asked if I could take it.
The lady pointed out ‘a small crack’ in the base but I was pretty sure I could fix it so off we trotted, still in hand! 🐕🚶🏼‍♀️🪑

⚒️ Armed with some strong wood glue, a few clamps and some wood filler she was soon structurally sturdy again! 🙌🏻 💪🏻

💛 This gorgeous yellow colour is the deliciously buttery ‘Prairie Sunset’ by Fusion and the hand painted folk inspired pattern is ‘Snowdrop’ with touches of ‘Mustard’.
Now she’s a little ray of sunshine ready to live a new life in a new home ….. could it be yours? 🤔 💛

🌟 How it starts: Strangers arriving to an Upcycling workshop feeling a tad awkward with their piece of furniture in hand.

💁🏼‍♀️ We chat, we break the ice, I get you started on how to get started and we crack on with prepping our pieces, tea, coffee and biscuits 🍪 flow and before you know it, everyone’s chatting away while working on their masterpiece or in the zone creating. 🤫
👩‍🎨 I’m on hand to guide, trouble shoot, demonstrate techniques and walk you through the fun process of transforming a piece of old furniture into a unique creation. I keep the groups intimate so that I can help each person individually and assist in the areas they want help in, providing tips, advice (and tasty treats) along the way.

🌟 How it ends: Those strangers leave feeling like they’ve spent a day with good friends, switched off from ‘lifey’ stuff, learnt new skills and clutching a ‘brand new’ painted piece of furniture that they’re super proud of! 🙌🏻 🤩

✨ POV: You were doom scrolling socials and accidentally found a little ray of sunshine you just had to have! ☀️

Painted in Prairie Sunset yellow by Fusion Mineral Paint, dressed up with folk-inspired hand-painted details, and finished with a beautifully toned-down taupe wood seat… well, because orange pine and I had a respectful disagreement. 🙂‍↔️

💛 She’s cute, she’s cheerful, and she’s currently available from The Stockroom in Leatherhead OR via my website for Nationwide delivery 🚚

🪵 I’M NOT PAINTING THE WOOD!! 🪵 🎨 😅(this time!!) 😅

I’ve done a lot of painting on my last few projects so this time I’m teaming up with my trusty Deos sander to sand back the old brown varnish and reveal a lovely bit of wood grain for a change 🤩

☝🏻I start with 100 grit sandpaper to really cut through the brown, then I go over with 120 grit for a smooth finish. I quite like that some of the dark stain gets left behind in the grain to accentuate it. 🤌🏻

Paint wash or wood stain next, what do you think? 🤔👇🏻
