Back in September we were contacted by a lovely lady called Jenny, who had a request very different from the norm, she wasn’t looking to purchase new flooring, she wanted to know if we had any spare cardboard tubes that the carpets are delivered to us on.
We were absolutely thrilled as we have LOTS of these tubes that were are continuously chasing the suppliers and recycle teams to come and collect to avoid these tubes going to landfill, in addition to this they take up a lot of room which as a small business we struggle with space. Jenny explained her reason for wanting the tubes, kept us updated and has absolutely blown our mind with how extremely talented she is and how she shows great community spirit in pouring her heart, soul, “fake” blood, sweat and tears in to something magnificent for the kids to see on Halloween.
If you haven’t already and get the opportunity to go out with the kids tonight for Halloween I would highly recommend heading towards Shaftesbury avenue alternatively, check out RoRA’s Hallowe’en Trail and see how you can get involved with helping support a fantastic charity called Catch Leeds based here in West Yorkshire.
