Fidget Turtles - and friends We are a small, family business based in Yorkshire, selling handcrafted items Let me tell you a bit about the (Fidget) (Pride) Turtles that I make. Alex

My Mum's autistic like me and she likes to fidget, but she's fussy! She had a conker that she carried in her pocket but she fidgeted so much she wore it through. I'd just started making things from polymer clay and she asked me to make her a pretty conker substitute, so I did. I made quite a lot in fact, trying to get the feel just right. One day I looked at the conker and thought it looked a bit

like a turtle, so I added some legs and a head. And so the (Fidget) Turtles were born. Making the turtles really helps me to relax. The only trouble is we've got quite a lot, so Mum suggested I try to sell some. A lot of the turtles are modelled using the colours of the various Pride flags and they still have the little dimple on their belly for rubbing. It also makes them very stackable if you have more than one! And we found out pretty quickly that if you flip them over, you can make them spin for ages! I've made lots of different colour combinations, but if there's anything you'd like that isn't there then get in touch. I'm happy to make custom orders.

This is not a lovely photo of me and I am in my slobby pilates joggers, but I love how bright and cheery my new t-shirt is. Stil don't know what to do with my arms in photos though! This is a size 14. I got a sleeveless one too and that's much snugger despite being same size.

Wish I could get someone else to model but Alex outright refuses. So, it's me or AI - and those who know me know my feelings on that!

I love my Turtle tee shirts very much but I've worn them lots and felt like I needed something new for this year's Pride month. So, here's the latest addition to our range - available in sleeveless and sleeved. Rainbow turtle for the classic pride flag, trans turtle on top and a much less vibrant straight turtle perched on top. All getting along perfectly well.

We are very, very excited to be bringing all of our proudest Turtles to the Little Fox Charity Craft Fairs Pride Event at Leeds Corn Exchange on Sunday 12 July. Can't wait ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💜 and also 💙🤍🩷 (and 🖤🤍 because the ally flag is just boring old black and white).

Little Fox is delighted once again to celebrate Pride.

The market is taking place down the piazza of the great
Leeds Corn Exchange

11th & 12th of July.

I will be joined by a sweet variety of small independent businesses all celebrating with me.

I hope you the public will support this event as i have some good causes attending also that represent the LGTBQIA Community.

Started yesterday thinking it would be our last Turtle stall. Ended it thinking maybe we'd keep going a bit longer, but just do stalls in lovely places with friendly people and accept it's not going to make our fortune, but will cover polymer clay costs and make (most) people smile.

Anyway, Left Bank Leeds was absolutely lovely. We got lots of positive feedback and I even got a chance to wander round with the camera. Thank you to the fabulous Sam at the stall beside us for the chat and for letting me take some photos of you! And thanks to Left Bank for letting us attend. We'd love to come back :-)

So, that's us all stalled out for 2025. Turtles are all packed away and it's time to start getting sorted out for Christmas.
