π Who is Lamb In The Loft? What does she do?
π©΅ After a heap of new followers (thank you to everyone!) I thought I'd do a quick little post to introduce myself again. Hi!!
π I've been creating and making since I was very young. It started with writing, drawing and knitting, then patchwork, free machine embroidery, cross stitch, and then crochet. One day, I went to Yarndale with friends and realised I could spin my own yarn... which opened up another pathway into textile arts.
π Spinning kind of took over my life for several years. First on a drop spindle, then I was gifted two beautiful wheels from friends. I have made countless beautiful skeins with a whole array of textures and materials - from merino to silks, banana fibre and alpaca. I now have 4 wheels and love them all dearly!
π I began properly teaching in 2019 when I started volunteering for a local mental health CIC. Sharing my skills, the joy of the arts, the confidence it can bring. I am completely self-taught with everything I do, and this means I more often than not have had to explore challenges and find work arounds for tricky bits, which make me a really effective teacher.
𧑠I started my journey with Craft Courses and haven't looked back since. I have enjoyed so much the range of people I have shared my skills with so far - young to old, complete beginner to the more advanced. Crochet has been most popular but my favourite to teach has to be spinning!
π©· I took a short break in 2025 to create my most difficult and long standing project so far.... a baby. π₯° Harlan is now 8 months old and absolutely thriving, so I'm slowly getting back to normal with teaching.
β€οΈ Please give me a like and a follow, I'll drop my Craft Courses link in the comments so you can keep an eye on my classes on there. At the moment I am flexible and can work to dates and times that suit you best. I am happy to take group bookings such as parties if you fancy something a little different!
