Its that time of year when sales take a little breather. So in conjunction with our suppliers, we have unearthed a selection of goodies to lessen the burden of cash spend.

Cat A have slight scratches, Cat B show slight scratches and the odd dent. And Cat C, well, they have a few bigger dents and scratches.

However, the products are sold with full integrity: they work as any non damaged safe or cabinet and they do the job as a non damaged safe or cabinet. We even sell them with a warranty, however, this is dropped down to 3 months.

Because of what they are, they are manufactured to order. So far, you can have the choice of 7 models. 4 with single door, shown on the site, and 3 safes with a double door.

This is the description of the size 2KK.

Prisma Grade 7 size 2KK
The De Raat Prisma Grade 7 size 2KK is a Euro Grade 7, made to order security safe that is £250,000 cash rated. It’s a high quality Commercial safe, Jewellers safe, Hotel safe and all round Business safe. This comes with the benefit of a free, palletised delivery. Installs are POA.

Security Protection:
This Prisma Grade 7 size 2KK is £250.000 overnight cash rated, or suitable, for up to £2,5m of valuables. It is a Euro Grade 7 security safe and subject to your Insurers confirmation.

ECB.S Certified in accordance to EN1143-1 Euro Grade 7, Police Secured by Design specification and approved by the AiS (Association of Insurance Surveyors).

Construction:
Built with a multi walled body and door, with external hinges to give its door a 180% opening. In addition, its handle adds 60mm to its overall body depth. Its door comes with substantial rectangular 4 way locking steel bolts to secure its door on 4 sides including an overlap profile on the hinge side. Anti drill plates protect its lock and locking bolt work areas and additional internal re locking security devices prevent the most determined of burglars.

To comply with insurance requirements, the safe is manufactured with provision for floor fixing and rear fixing.

Fire Protection:
It, moreover is fire retardant to LFS 30P fire resistant classification, according to EN 15659 giving 30 minutes protection for paper records.

Locking:
This Prisma Grade 7 size 2KK comes with 2 high security key locks with 2 double bit keys per lock. Additional copy keys can be ordered with the safe.

In addition, this size is also available with key and mechanical combination locks, or twin Paxos electronic code locks. (Prices on application)

Fittings:
There are two removable/height adjustable shelves with this safe.

Colour:
This Commercial safe comes ready finished in a durable light grey paint (RAL 7035) or Graphite grey (RAL 7024) to compliment most decors. This ensures it will remain looking good for many years.

Warranty:
In the rare occasion of fault, De Raat give this Prisma Grade 7 size 2KK Retailer safe a 2 year warranty against manufacturing defects arising from production.

Finally, current manufacture/delivery is expected to be 10-12 weeks from order placement. This is the norm on high grade, planned projects.

History - Old safes.

If you are fortunate to, indeed have a modern safe... WELL DONE and providing you have purchased it for its correct Insurance rating to suit your items, you wont have an Insurance issue!

However and the kicker is this-
If you have a safe that features a brass or chromed handle, or name badge screwed to its door, then sadly, and, providing you use it to store cash and valuables then you WILL NOT be covered for any losses, should your safe be stolen, burnt out or even broken into.

When these type of safes, were produced, and no matter what its size is, because size is no indication of physical strength, and they have a name badge screwed to the door, they were produced using mild steel. Modern tools can quite simply rip them open.
In the period, generally after 1820 to relatively modest, 1940’s you never saw high speed drills, HSS drills bits nor road tarmac cutters. Tools of yesteryear would have been cold chisels, hammers and good old nitro glycerine for the bank jobs!

Yes, an old safe, does have its kerb appeal: they are a thing of beauty if correctly refurbished to high standards, and they have a historic story to tell, plus can be a good talking point if you show them as a wine cooler/chest, or even a coffee table.

Phoenix Safe SS1440 Series Fortress Pro

During Early May 2023 we are to release a brand new range of fire safes, there are 8 in total ranging from a 13 litre capacity up to 37 litres. 4 sizes with a key lock and 4 fitted with a high security electronic code lock.
What makes this electronic lock really good is that you can programme up to 9 users, thus making them perfect for offices who have multiple users opening the safe. Should one of the users leave, their code is easily erased via a manager code. Its other feature include dual code operation, and a programmable time delay.

The Phoenix Safe SS1440 Series Fortress Pro has been classified and tested to S2 Security Standard (EN 14450 ECBS Certification) giving a £4000 overnight cash rating. If being used as a safe for the home, that means they can store up to £40,000 of jeweller or valuables in the safe.

I did suggest that the Fortress Pro was a fire safe. Indeed it is!!
The range comes with a 60 minute fire protection for paper records, so even an office or school can use them under GDPR Compliance, plus this range is perfectly suitable for the storage of controlled drugs whose active ingredients do not exceed 500 grams.!!

In addition the Fortress Pro are UK Police Approved, under the Secured by Design scheme and importantly approved by the Association of Insurance Surveyors (AiS), meaning that the users Insurers are aware of the product range.

De Raat safes have launched 2 new ranges of Euro Grade 4 & Euro Grade 5, high security safes. Stocked in the UK for immediate delivery if wanting to install as a do it yourself project, or sold as a fully installed and base fixed complete job, normally within 5-10 working days (stock prevailing). They are called: Prisma Grade 4, and Prisma Grade 5.

Q: What are Euro Grade 4 and Euro Grade 5 safes, I hear you ask?
A: A Euro Grade 4 safe has been tested by prestigious testing bodies to allow you, the user to store £60,000 cash or up to £600,000 of jewellery/valuables, whereas the Euro Grade 5 allows you to store £100,000 cash, or up to £1,000,000 of Jewellery/valuables!

Do I hear a big WOW, or even a Whoooo!!

Both UK stocked ranges are sold with 2 locks on every safe. The options are, either twin high security keylocks, or 1 keylock and 1 electronic code lock. Perfect for dual use operation.
