We’re looking for a warm, friendly and reliable person to join our small team at Aladdin’s Cave Jewellery in Leeds city centre.
This is a part-time position working approximately three to four days per week, with some Saturdays on a rota, usually one or two per month. The usual working days can be discussed, as we’re happy to offer some flexibility for the right person.
There will also be opportunities for additional hours during busy periods such as Christmas and to cover holidays or sickness.
The role will mainly involve helping customers, selling and presenting jewellery, taking payments, preparing online orders and assisting with the day-to-day running of the shop.
Previous retail or customer-facing experience would be helpful, but jewellery experience isn’t essential. Full training will be provided, although a genuine interest in antique and vintage jewellery is important.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Warm, approachable and confident with customers
- Dependable, honest and attentive to detail
- Comfortable working as part of a very small team
- Organised and able to use their initiative
- Flexible enough to work some Saturdays and occasional additional hours
Experience with websites, online retail, photography, social media or image editing would be an added advantage, as there may be opportunities to help with these areas when the shop is quiet.
Aladdin’s Cave is an independent, family-run antique and vintage jewellery business that has been based in Leeds for more than 45 years. We’re a close-knit team, so finding someone who fits naturally into the shop and enjoys working with people is really important to us.
