Talking about delivery....
On my website there are four ways that you can receive your plant supports.
🌿1) You can arrange to collect them from my house in Leeds....
🌿2) ....Or the workshop near Newark.
🌿3) I can offer local delivery if you have a Leeds postcode, if your postcode isn't on the list just get in touch and we may be able to arrange something.
🌿4) Delivery by courier- UK wide. Whilst I appreciate this isn't always the cheapest option, posting heavy oversized metal isn't the cheapest item to post. I try to combine items, and have made these combinations available on the website. The courier prices are actually less than what they cost me and I use reputable couriers to try and limit the stress of missing and damaged parcels. If you want to arrange your own couriers, just let me know.

It's no secret that it's tough out there for a small business at the moment. Budgets are stretched, the growing season has been strange this year. Even so, this morning, I said no to a job.

A lovely lady messaged asking for a custom order. I love custom orders, chatting through the project, and creating something unique to the garden. We discussed size, location, cost e.t.c. As the conversation went along, it was becoming clear that what was needed, to stay in budget, wouldn't have been suitable for the job. We looked at a few options, but we wouldn't be able to get it quite right. So I said "NO!" Not because I didn't want the job, but because I didn't want to send something out, that isn't 100% fit for purpose. Thankfully everybody was vey understanding and agreed that it would be better to either think of a different design, or to look elsewhere.

Obviously it's rubbish to miss out on a job and it's not very nice to feel like I have let someone down, but do you think I made the right decision?

Just like spring turns to summer, all of our plant supports will change with the seasons. The first have just been made, and in a couple of week's they bloom into this gorgeous golden rust. That's one of the reasons they're so perfect for the garden: they look great all year round, as they blend in with the surroundings.

What a gorgeous way to start off National Gardening Week, with a day at open day at Dunholme Lodge. Meeting so many enthusiastic and knowledgeable gardeners is always a pleasure.

This bank holiday weekend I will be at 1690's house and Carsington Water, for plant fairs with the best plant selection. Fingers crossed the weather holds out. Will you be there too?
