Ventilation upgrade completed ✅

We recently carried out an installation to improve airflow and performance, replacing an ineffective setup with a proper long-term solution.

The existing ceiling-mounted extractor fans were underpowered and incorrectly venting into the soffit — not ideal for moisture control or longevity.

With regulations like Awaab’s Law highlighting the importance of proper ventilation and damp prevention, it’s more important than ever to ensure systems are fit for purpose.

Our upgrade included:

We recently attended site after an under-sink water heater developed a leak, causing the unit to fail and trip the RCBO.

Our team quickly diagnosed the issue and carried out the necessary works:

🏭 Industrial install — metalworking factory, Sileby!

With gas prices continuing to rise, businesses can’t afford to be heating empty buildings. We were called in to bring smart control and safe isolation to this busy metalworking and machinery factory — and that’s exactly what we delivered.

Here’s what we installed:

🌡️ Hive smart thermostat — now controlling the site’s kerosene warm air heater with full remote temperature control and scheduling from a phone or app

🔴 New 4-pole isolator in a surface-mounted enclosure — providing a compliant, local means of isolation for the heater circuit

✅ Full system tested and confirmed working correctly on completion

The client can now schedule heating around their working hours, monitor usage, and avoid running the heater overnight or through weekends. In an industrial unit this size, that’s a meaningful saving every single month.

⚡ EICR remedial works completed — Clarendon Park, Leicester!

Following an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR), this property required a full consumer unit upgrade to bring the installation up to current standards.

Out came the old outdated board — in went a brand new Hager unit with:

🛡️ Full RCBO protection on every individual circuit

🔩 Surge Protection Device (SPD) fitted as standard

📋 All circuits neatly labelled and certified

✅ Installation tested, signed off, and notified to Building Control

The difference between the old board and the new one speaks for itself. An EICR isn’t just a tick-box exercise — it identifies real risks in your property and gives you a clear picture of what needs addressing.
