What does “FENSA Approved” actually mean for you?

When you use a FENSA Approved Installer for qualifying replacement windows and doors, your installation is:

✅ Assessed against Building Regulations requirements
✅ Registered with the relevant local authority
✅ Supported by guarantee insurance
✅ Completed by an installer whose standards are regularly assessed

You will also receive a FENSA certificate, providing important evidence of compliance that may be required when you sell your home.

FENSA approval is not simply another logo. It is one of the checks homeowners can make when choosing a reputable window and door company.

Harvey’s combines this independent approval with more than 30 years of local experience, personal project management and our own no-quibble aftercare.

If you are considering new windows or doors, visit our Leicester showroom and talk to a team you can rely on.

The cheapest quotation can quickly become very expensive if the work is not completed properly.

Citizens Advice found that homeowners who had to spend more money addressing problems lost £750 on average. For one in ten, the additional cost exceeded £5,000.

The consequences were not only financial: 37% of those who experienced a problem said it caused them stress, while 12% said it left them feeling unsafe in their own home.

That is why we believe homeowners should look beyond the initial price and ask:

• Is the installer properly accredited?
• How long has the business been established?
• Who will manage the installation?
• What guarantee is provided?
• Will the company return if something needs attention?

Harvey’s has looked after Leicestershire homeowners since 1994. We personally project-manage our installations and back our work with a no-quibble, long-term aftercare service.

Quality, accountability and peace of mind are all part of the price.

One in four homeowners experienced a problem with their most recent home repair.

That is the worrying finding from new Citizens Advice research. Across the UK, an estimated 4.8 million homeowners experienced problems such as poor-quality workmanship, unfinished work, unexpected costs or difficulty getting problems resolved.

It is an important reminder that choosing who works on your home should never be based on price alone.

When replacing your windows or doors, look for:

✅ A FENSA Approved Installer
✅ An established local reputation
✅ A clear written quotation and guarantee
✅ Proper project management
✅ Reliable aftercare if something needs attention

Harvey’s Windows has served Leicestershire homeowners since 1994. Our installations are personally project-managed and supported by our no-quibble, long-term aftercare.
