Been a bit absent for a while because we moved house!! I don't think I have spoke about it on fb yet (maybe I have ??) I'm pretty private which might seem weird to you all but since the calendar turned the page to 2026, it really has been non stop and my brain has just been whirring!

We saw a house on a bit of a whim and then moved heaven and earth to get it, made some sacrifices too and worked our arses off but it just felt like we were meant to be here! And yes its quite a large renovation project being honest so watch this space, its scary but so exciting all at once! We moved without all the answers but just hoping things would turn out for the best and I'm confident they will!

Just finding my feet again because this has also meant losing my workshop from home temporarily which hasn't been the best for productivity and for my crazy brain but I have other options with this move; and luckily this week I had an Art Exhibition to plan for which came actually at the right time to just push me back into the creative arena again even when it felt a bit uncomfortable!

The rug has been swept beneath us, but I think in a good way and sometimes you just have to take that chance when it gets given to you, and just take a giant leap into the unknown!

That is what is happening here! But with new adventures comes new opportunities, I really hope so!

We think this house is just magical, something about it and so here we are just over the Leicestershire border now and sneaking into Northamptonshire, feels nice to share finally!!

Please Swipe ➡️ ART EXPO Market Harborough LAST DAY, and just wanted to share a behind the scenes of the pieces I am exhibiting!

If you have managed to visit you will know I name each piece of furniture after a person or place, I feel like personifying each one comes naturally after you've worked so hard on a project, they seem to take on a character after going on such a long journey; here we have Eden, Chloe ;-) Harborough and Flora, but can you guess which one is which?!

I really wanted to post some before, during and afters of each piece as these are the things that you don't see at exhibitions because its all about the end right? The pretty bits? But the process is so much more and very much a part of the art itself....

I definitely stand by the reality that furniture art is a gruelling, long and physical process ;-) and honestly I think sometimes this isn't always perceived looking at the end result, it can be hard to contemplate the journey of a piece of furniture or art/ sculpture itself before anything creative even starts but hoping this post gives some extra insight :-)

Really wanted to mention too that if you would like a great morning or afternoon out, the Exhibition is on for the last day today where all these pieces are displayed so please don't miss out on supporting your local artists and small businesses, it's honestly a lovely event with great good vibes!

Hoping you see something you like and you get a chance to visit! Please dm me or Harborough Artist Cluster if you need any more info!

Come with me to Art Expo... September definitely feels the time for discovering new art!

I have been busy installing 4 pieces of Furniture Art into an amazing venue this week with Managed the installation in multiple trips (need a van and not a car that's about to break) but honestly I think the 3D element really adds something to the space!

I think canvas and prints a little more universal in terms of selling and I know my work might not be the most obvious selection, but its a really exciting and a real privelege to just take part in this event alongside some incredible work from the local area. I feel like Furniture Art has come a long way and is making some waves, or maybe just a little ripple, but that is more than good enough for me 💪 and long may it continue!

I hope you see something you like and you get a chance to visit this weekend! Please dm me if you need any more info!

Another view on the metallic yellow side cabinet, finally got round to staging some photos to show this piece in more of a home setting, its been a bit chaotic due to moving house so I am so slow at the moment but things are definitely happening behind the scenes!!!

This was rescued and revived as part of the BBC1 TV show Money For Nothing where sometimes I work as a designer! (new episodes are currently showing but this project I think will be in the next series if you are interested!)

It's fun and inspiring to be set this challenge which is mostly why I like to take part, it keeps me on my design toes! but it's always hard work with tight schedules to stick to, so I really hope you love this contemporary take on an Edwardian style, for me it's close to my heart 💛

This transformation was all about using new materials to add luxury, such as metallic mirror, new shelving, and hand-turned solid wood legs; and with a colour drenched paint finish I feel like this piece is now really making a statement.

But what would you put in this? I'm thinking gin, glassware, lotions and potions, shoes, jewellery... the possibilities are endless!

Now available so please do message me if you have any questions!

Really couldn't wait to show you my latest glass cabinet renovated as part of BBC1 Money For Nothing which I decided to transform with metallics and reeded glass.

It's often tempting when you do TV to over do it with design, to keep adding more and more for effect but I felt quite brave keeping this design very classic and elegant, and even though it looks like a simplified concept, the restoration work and materials used on this piece are where all my attention and budget was directed!

Hours were spent on remodelling, especially the legs which are hand turned by a British maker, the back has a new metallic sheen with muted yellow paintwork and coffeee coloured reeded glass to highlight the diamond shaped leaded panel.

I also removed the original top plinth which seemed dated and in a miraculous turn of events, the orginal key to the working lock still remains!

To mention aswell, this has new toughened glass shelving which would be suitable to display glassware, a gin cabinet; perhaps displaying shoes, books, jewellery or lotions and potions in a bathroom!

I feel like this buttery mustard yellow is a good colour for either a more country and refined look at home as it's a contemporary take on Edwardian interiors; but equally it would look vibrant aswell in a more modern setting.

Colour: Farrow & Ball Duster (love the name)

Please DM me or Money for Nothing for details, happy to help!

Really excited to show you some new work for BBC1 Money for Nothing 🙌

Disclaimer, since I filmed this, the floral chest has already gone 😭 but the yellow Edwardian cabinet is still available!

Both such different projects but all vintage furniture hits different and as a result so do my designs!

I think I said it all in the video but please do ask me if you have any questions about anything at all. Or contact direct and they would be happy to help you, Free UK delivery available and a chance to own something super special, well if you ask me anyway 💛 ;-)

Which one can you see in your home though, would love to know!

Been quiet but quiet means busy ;-) sometimes I just have to take myself away and get s**t done and this is the latest piece hand-painted for the telly! I really wanted to use the opportunity of being filmed to showcase my art style and so this lovely mid century set of Meredew Drawers received a Chloe transformation, it has a gloss peachy beige background to offset autumnal aubergines, earthy greens and rusty orange tones, the original handles have been restored to keep its character and the original legs remain also.

My florals are typically intuitive which is why they seem to take on their own kind of style but I hope you love this as much as I do! Quick photo but more to follow!

In the meantime this is just to say it's available now! Please DM me for details :-)

Not sure If I have showed you this yet, but I actually restore furniture too... and I enjoy it genuinely. Its not always all about colour and pattern for me, many types of design I appreciate as you may be able to tell!

Here is a picture sent by my client featuring a G-Plan sideboard he purchased from me (on the left) which led to a really special commission, the chess table 🖤

This piece was never completed but made by my clients Dad when he was learning cabinetry. Sadly it was never finished before he passed and so my client asked me to finish the table for him which was honestly nerve racking but such an honour!

This involved fixing the frame and eradicating the gaps, completing and getting the drawers to run smoothly, sanding and refinishing the veneered top, adding toughened glass and a brass plaque, also collection and delivery, it was well worth it to see this now and special thanks to Richard, who works in the workshop next to mine in Wilbarston... for offering his expertise in carpentry. Learning more all the time!
