Just delivered an Ercol 203/3 sofa to a friend and planklong customer as he wanted a deeper seat than his 334/3 which is now looking for a new home. I’ve taken photos as is but will give her a ‘little glow up’ before she’s sold (this doesn’t mean a complete strip down btw just in case anyone’s wondering) The history is that my friend came and helped me out when I was under the cosh and in lieu of payment, at his suggestion, I gave him a sofa frame in the darkest finish. He took it home and basically did what I usually do! Since completion two of the joints failed resulting in 3 of the legs snapping off but being a ‘boating man’ he fixed them all (very,very well) and she’s remained sound since. The cover has been washed and has come up nice and fresh and the foam which has a Dacron and stockinette wrap will be steamed to make sure it’s fresh and plump, a trick I’ve recently discovered which works brilliantly! The webbing although a little slack is sound. All in all she’s a lovely little sofa who needs a mew home. £250? Let me know

Another customer from the Clarendon Park shop days has been in touch and asked me to see if anyone is interested in her BARGET Table and chairs. They were purchased from me around 12 years ago. The set is in fantastic condition with the original fabric on the seats - just one of them has a very small hole which I’m sure would be easily mendable. Thought I needed one but seems I was wrong 🤦🏻‍♀️ Hardly used and in as new condition, I’ve probably charged it 4 times since purchase and will restore it back to original factory settings. Comes in original box with charging cable. Anyone for a £50 saving on the current JL price £275? Dm me x

So the one at the back, yes the dark brown one has finally after 3 years been restored. Best thing was it was for one of my best mates and boy was she was happy with her ‘new’ sofa in her brand spanking new kitchen! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 I recommended using a beautiful 100% wool fabric from which was just fantastic to work with and contrasted so well with the wooden frame of this gorgeous 203/3 Ercol sofa. All in all a good day X
