Wool is the Answer Hand dyed yarn, patterns and inspiration You may ask why we have called our new venture Wool is the answer?

For us the answer is simple, as crafters of many things, there is no question to which wool is not the answer!

We are a new business based in Lincolnshire set up to sell good quality local sourced wool. We are gradually building up our own hand dyed range of yarn in 4 ply, all of which is hand dyed by us in Lincolnshire. We intend to add to our collection regularly and produce coordinating yarns

for use in various knitting projects.

We have carefully selected our first supplier, West Yorkshire Spinners, as we fell in love with their colour range and quality, and of course they are "reared, sheared and spun" in Great Britain.

At the moment we are starting off small with limited lines but hope to grow quickly with the help of you, our customers. Our aim is to source local good quality yarn to share with you all.

Our passion is for vibrant colours so we will try and incorporate this in our choice of products and suppliers as well as our dyeing palette.

Finally cast off the by .avec.anna using our 4 ply and Sequin Fluff held together in Purple 💜

It is unbelievably soft, light as a cloud, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. The gentle shimmer from the Sequin Fluff gives it such a beautiful finish, while the colour has knitted up into the dreamiest shade of purple. Now to decide on my next cast on!

Month 5 of the Ripples are the Answer MAL is finally finished on my knitted version 🎉🧶

It feels like this one took a little while, but all those lovely ripples are now complete and I’m ready to cast on Month 6. There’s something very satisfying about seeing each section come together and watching the project grow month by month.

The heat has definitely melted our knitting brains in this episode! 🥵🧶😆

Marie has somehow managed to cast on a from using our undyed 4ply and Sequin Fluff, plus a pair of socks in Jailbreak from paired with our Ultra Blue. As if that wasn’t enough, she’s also giving her well loved by a second life using our DK Grey.

Meanwhile, both Marie and Dominique have been steadily adding rows to their blankets.

Fantastic first day of my holiday, a hot one at Morecambe so I needed a paddle in the sea. I found them filming The Bay while I was there too. Then back for a delicious pizza from on the balcony. The location and soundtrack from the birds helped me finish this months colour for my Ripples are the Answer blanket.
