A beautiful fireplace transformation in this lovely Edwardian townhouse! 🔥

This was a fantastic project to work on, bringing traditional character together with modern heating.

The original pink-tiled fireplace was carefully removed and has since found a new home.

We opened up the original fireplace chamber, gently cleaned the exposed brickwork and prepared everything for its new centrepiece.

The star of the show…… An absolutely stunning cast iron fireplace surround, discovered on Facebook Marketplace!

The original tiles and cast iron fire insert were carefully saved for another project, while the ornate outer surround was given some much-needed TLC before taking pride of place in the lounge.

A new tiled hearth completed the setting, with a beautiful South Yorkshire-made Ecoflames wood-burning stove providing the finishing touch.

The result…..A stunning, traditional fireplace with all the benefits of a modern wood-burning stove.

Chimney lined with a stainless steel flexible flue liner.
As with every job, always commissioned and signed off with HETAS

High-end results without the high-end price tag, thanks to some clever repurposing and a little craftsmanship.

A lovely example of how old and new can work beautifully together. 🔥

A huge transformation on this one ❤️

We started with a rather nineties style brick fireplace, which has now been completely remodelled with a traditional cast iron surround and herringbone brickwork to give it a much more sympathetic feel for the age and style of the property.

The heating has been upgraded too, with pipework alterations and new cast iron radiators, finished off with brass Milano fittings.

The subfloor had quite a variation in levels, so this was carefully levelled and prepared before fitting the new engineered oak flooring throughout, carefully removed and re fitted the skirtings to give it a seamless finish.

The bay has had facelift with some simple panel details added.

In the hallway, we also installed a cast iron radiator. As this area had already been newly tiled, tiles were carefully cut out to allow us to alter the pipework and fit everything with as little disruption as possible.

Quite a change from where we started.

We were recommended to this lovely couple who wanted something a little more traditional around their existing log burner . . .

Working from their photo….I think it is safe to say we nailed it 🔥🔥
The only thing left to do for them is decorate and move the spotlight a fraction.

Reclaimed bricks, oak beam, hearth slabs, freshly plastered new chimney breast creating a completely new look for their existing stove.

If you’ve got an existing stove or fireplace that needs a bit of a transformation, feel free to drop us a message. 👍
