Another fantastic project completed by Focus Floors NI Ltd at Danesfort House, Belfast

For this job we carried out full subfloor preparation using Bostik products to ensure a perfect foundation. All subfloors were mechanically grinding beforehand, primed and latex levelled to create a smooth, durable base ready for installation.

We then installed Harvey Maria LVT flooring throughout four floors, delivering a clean, modern finish that’s both stylish and hard-wearing.

New entrance matting was fitted at every doorway, with the LVT carefully built up to the matwell to ensure a flush, seamless finish throughout the building.

Another quality installation completed to the highest standard by the Focus Floors NI team.

✅ Job Completed | JD Wetherspoons – South Strand

Another successful commercial flooring project completed by Focus Floors NI Ltd.

Scope of works:
🔹 Full uplift of existing flooring
🔹 Subfloor preparation
🔹 Epoxy DPM applied
🔹 Grip primer installed
🔹 Latex levelling compound applied
🔹 Final installation of Altro Stronghold flooring
A key part of this project was the subfloor preparation, particularly the DPM and latex system, which is crucial in commercial environments.

The epoxy DPM (Damp Proof Membrane) was applied to control residual moisture within the subfloor. This prevents moisture-related failures such as lifting, bubbling, or breakdown of adhesives and finishes — especially important in high-use areas like commercial kitchens where temperature changes and washdowns are common.

Once the DPM had cured, grip primers were applied to ensure maximum adhesion. We then installed a latex levelling compound, creating a smooth, strong, and level surface ready to receive the final floor finish. This step is essential for achieving a high-quality install and extending the lifespan of the flooring.

Correct preparation means the finished Altro Stronghold floor performs exactly as designed — durable, safe, and built to withstand heavy commercial use.

The new extension area had an epoxy DPM applied, with the full floor then grip primed and latexed to achieve a smooth, level finish throughout.

We finished the space with Tarkett LVT dryback laid in a herringbone design, complete with a stylish two-plank border, adding real character to this lovely home ✨

🔨 Project Complete – Mackeys Opticians 👓

We’re delighted to share our latest completed project for Mackeys Opticians.

✨ Flooring installed:
• Herringbone LVT dry back
• Carpet tiles
• R10 slip-rated safety flooring

All areas were fully prepped with latex beforehand to ensure a flawless finish and long-lasting performance.

We worked closely with the architect and design team throughout the project to ensure the flooring met both the practical requirements and the overall design vision — delivering a result that met all expectations.

One off our recent projects.

We recently completed this flooring project at ASDA, where our team uplifted the existing floor coverings, grinded the subfloor to remove any loose residue, and fully prepared the surface by priming and applying latex smoothing compound. We then installed new Forbo contract vinyl throughout. The result is a durable, high-quality finish that meets the demands of a busy retail environment and gives the store a clean, modern appearance.
