THE SO COLLECTION | WHERE STONE BECOMES ART

Some fireplaces are designed to complement a room. Others are designed to command it. A beautiful example from our SO Collection, crafted in exquisite Calcutta Sugar marble, where dramatic veining and sculptural curves work in perfect harmony. The sweeping contours of this design echo the natural movement of the stone, allowing its extraordinary character to take centre stage.

This particular client had a clear vision from the very beginning, with an exceptional eye for detail and an appreciation for truly beautiful design. The result is a fireplace that feels both timeless and distinctly individual.

Designed as an ornamental feature rather than a working fire, the fireplace lends itself beautifully to one of our traditional decorative firebaskets, bringing another layer of elegance and character to the finished piece.

The beauty of our SO Collection lies in the freedom to create something entirely your own. At Robert Phillips Fireplaces, we can transform even the most ambitious ideas into exceptional statement pieces

THE SO COLLECTION | TIMELESS STONE. EXCEPTIONAL CRAFTSMANSHIP.

Naturally distinctive and effortlessly timeless, travertine is a stone of enduring elegance. Its organic textures, subtle variations and individual character ensure no two pieces are ever quite the same. Here, beautifully sculpted fluted detailing introduces rhythm, movement and architectural depth, echoing the unique beauty of the stone itself.

, our exclusive SO Collection celebrates traditional craftsmanship and the art of truly bespoke design.

Our creations are individually crafted using traditional techniques, allowing us to focus on exceptional materials, distinctive designs and meticulous attention to detail.

From your first showroom consultation through to the final fitting, we invite you to become part of the creative process, creating something truly individual — a statement of sophistication, elegance and pure opulence.

LUXURY, FROM A DIFFERENT ANGLE.

A fireplace doesn’t need curves or elaborate detailing to command a room.

There is something incredibly powerful about strong, clean lines and beautifully considered angles — where the simplicity of the design allows the material itself to become the statement.

This piece from our Parlour Studio , SO collection is crafted in Azul Valverde limestone, a remarkable natural stone characterised by the fossils and markings formed within it over millions of years. No two pieces are ever quite the same.

For this design, it’s all in the angles. Sharp architectural lines transform what appears simple into something sculptural, bold and exceptionally luxurious.

At Robert Phillips Fireplaces, we have been working with natural stone and creating fireplaces since 1959. From the understated to the extraordinary, we can work with virtually any design, stone or concept to create something completely individual for your home.
For those looking for something genuinely different, simplicity can make the biggest statement.

A transformation we’ll never get tired of. 🔥

This stunning property was already full of character, charm and incredible potential. This project certainly came with its challenges! due to its unusual space, but that’s exactly why it has become one of our all-time favourite transformations.

We absolutely love working alongside . Her ideas are always exciting, creative and never fail to WAOOOO!! — and we think you’ll agree, this entire room has been styled to absolute perfection.

For a project with this level of detail and luxury, there was really only one stove to complete the look from Scanline with steel bench. Beautifully engineered, exceptionally refined and the perfect fit for this sophisticated interior.

The ceramic tiled chamber brings warmth and texture, while the clean architectural lines of our Dekton hearth and trim completely transform the original fireplace and give the whole scheme that contemporary, considered finish.

This is definitely one of our favourites. Serious room envy! 🤎

At Robert Phillips Fireplaces, no project is too ambitious and no space is too challenging. And when we work alongside Interiors by Nicole, the possibilities really are endless.

When the marble becomes the masterpiece.✨✨✨

There are materials that complement a fireplace — and then there are materials that completely define it. Calacatta Viola is one of those exceptional marbles. Characterised by its warm ivory background and dramatic burgundy, plum and violet-toned veining, every slab is naturally unique. Bold, luxurious and unmistakably individual, it transforms a fireplace from an architectural feature into a true statement piece.

For our SO Collection, the beauty begins with the stone itself. Our clients can personally select their marble, choosing the individual slab and veining that will ultimately become part of their home. From there, we can create virtually any fireplace design — from beautifully restrained contemporary surrounds to more elaborate, traditional pieces — handcrafted to showcase the natural character of the material.

And it doesn’t have to be Calacatta Viola. The SO Collection allows us to work with an extensive selection of marbles and natural stones, giving you the freedom to choose both the material and the design.

Because when you choose a natural stone fireplace, you aren’t simply choosing a fireplace. You’re choosing a piece of stone that nature has spent millions of years creating — and turning it into something entirely your own.

It is with the heaviest of hearts that I share the devastating news that my beloved Dad passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Friday, 10th July.

He was so much more than a father. He was our mentor, our greatest supporter, our friend, and the person we could always turn to for advice, laughter, and comfort. To say we are proud to have called him our Dad doesn’t even begin to express how privileged we feel.

For those of you who knew him through Little Green or Robert Phillips Fireplaces , you will understand just how special he was. Whether you knew him for years or only briefly, everyone whose path he crossed experienced his kindness, generosity, humour, and his unique way of making people feel welcome. He had a gift for bringing people together, sharing his wisdom, and leaving every place he touched a little better than he found it.

I will miss him beyond words. The emptiness he leaves behind is impossible to describe, but I take comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched, the friendships he built, and the love he gave so freely.

To honour an extraordinary man and celebrate a life so beautifully lived, we invite all who knew and loved him to join us.

Pay Your Respects

Family and friends are warmly welcome to pay their respects at Dad’s home:

167 Hillsborough Old Road, Lisburn

Tuesday 14th July & Wednesday 15th July
From 11:00am onwards

All are welcome.

Funeral Service: Thursday 16th July
St Patrick’s Chapel, Lisburn
10:00am

Followed by interment at Magheragall Cemetery.

Afterwards, everyone is warmly invited to join us at The Little Green Allotments,
3F Whitemountain Road, Lisburn, BT28 3QY, to celebrate his life, share memories, and remember the remarkable man he was.

His loss is immeasurable, but so too is the legacy he leaves behind.

I will forever be proud and grateful to have called him my Dad.

He was truly exceptional.
