Byzantine/Eastern Roman Empire,5th-6th century AD,Silver seal ring with cipher. Fully professionally cleaned. Also, has been enlarged from 19.25mm to 19.5mm internal diameter.Weight is 7g. Photos show before and after cleaning. £175 ono.

Selection of Roman ceramics with accompanying Liverpool Museum letter dated to 1957.
One of the mortaria sherds is referred to in the museum letter. It isnt clear if that one sherd was found at the bequesters address.Presumably the others were added later to make up a teaching collection. The Museum code WB 762 refers to Williams Bequest and was an old Museum code used when they were based at The Carnatic Hall in Mosley Hill Liverpool.

8) Roman flagon,Type 1A/1B Severn Valley Ware,1-2L volume used for serving wine at table. Dated to AD 150-270.

9)Roman Severn Valley Ware bowl rim with everted rim.Type 1. Dated to AD 150-270.

10) Severn Valley Ware carinated cup with Cordon. Dated to AD 180-250.

11) Roman Imbrex roof tile. Dated to AD 100-400.
