Just before Christmas a set of triplets made in memory of Pauline a very special sister and auntie went off to their forever homes.
The bears are usually made from clothing however the request was for me to make the bears from fur and to replicate an outfit using clothing that Pauline had worn.
Each bear was personalised using Pauline's writing taken from birthday cards and digitised into a format compatible with my embroidery machine. Thank you Austin his patience must have been tested on several occasions as I went back to him many times with changes to the wording and layout as I kept changing my mind!

When my mum died in 1995 my dad couldn't face sorting out her clothes, so it wasn't until he died in 2011 that I had the task of not only sorting out his clothing but my mum's too. I kept hold of one of my mum's dressing gowns and recently decided to use the fabric to make the bears for my daughters, and in memory of their Nannie.

I did my first craft market yesterday. Most of the products I use are bought from small independent companies, I thought I'd give a shout out to some of these suppliers.

bought my dinosaur fabric from Linda. Linda has some beautiful quirky fabrics in store

for the most beautiful machine embroidery designs, the fluffy flamingoes are amazing
