For some reason my mind is blank when writing this caption - probably because the video title is self explanatory and there's nothing else to say haha 🤷🏻‍♀️

Please ignore the peach carpet - we moved into this house at the end of last year and it's such a cold house! We are in the process of insulating the entire house with sheeps wool (incl. under the floorboards) so the peach carpet will be banished the second the house is warm 😅

Anyway, so we needed some additional seating in our living room (mostly because I got fed up of never having anywhere to sit!) and so I started scouring Vinterior, 1st Dibs and eBay for brutalist style mid century armchairs because I'm a fan and that's the vision I had for the space.

I saw these listed for £100 (!!!) and thought "what's wrong with them", read the description, realised that the seller just thought these were a pair of old armchairs. They aren't designer as far as I can tell, but they remind me of brutalist furniture by Percival Lafer which is a style I love and they're solid timber (which means they're insanely heavy and well made!).

I ended up hiring a van and driving two hours to go and collect these (I was so scared of driving the van because the excess was £2,000 👀) but it all went well, got the chairs and now I still don't get to sit on them because the dog takes one and the girls take the other 😂

Anyway, I think these are very much a love or hate - what do you think?
