When I created the for I dreamt of sunny days and white sandy beaches.

Before I went on holiday last month I realised how much I hated my old holiday wardrobe. So I wanted to create myself some wardrobe staples.

I ALWAYS go for patterned fabrics, so it was quite a challenge for me to choose some plain fabrics.

But once i'd made the pattern I knew this was going to be a top that I would make again and again.

Here it is. The Staple Vest.

A throw back to one of my first ever pattern testers I remember receiving the photos and crying with excitement of someone wearing a dress made up from one of my patterns.

The patterns go through extensive testing and before I released the pattern with Simply Sewing Magazine I made a few updates.

1) increased the bodice grade slightly for the larger sizes
2) increased the vneck depth a little
3) made the front neck facing into one piece

If you bought the pattern through my shop your pattern files should be automatically updated.
