A home office you might actually look forward to working in. šŸ¤āœØ

A little tour of this beautifully considered space, where thoughtful design, bespoke details and a warm, calming palette come together to create a room that feels both practical and special.

Because working from home should feel good, too.

A little more of the master suite at our Saffron Walden project. šŸ¤

This space was designed with a relaxed, hotel-inspired feel ā€” calm, considered and luxurious, but still warm and inviting.

From the layered lighting and bespoke joinery to the soft textures and carefully considered details, every element was designed to make this feel like a space to truly switch off and unwind.

A little closer look at the finished scheme. A photoshoot pendingā€¦.

Install progress at our Saffron Walden project. šŸ¤

Having worked on the design for this property for 18 months, itā€™s so rewarding for the team to see it all come together on install day.

Here, we give you a little sneak peek into the master suiteā€¦ looking forward to shooting this beauty! šŸ“ø

The One Tradesman We Didnā€™t Hire šŸˆšŸ˜‚

For the last three weeks of the build at our Saffron Walden project, this beautiful boy started turning up on site and saying hello to everyone.

Heā€™d wander around, make himself at home and generally act as though he was part of the team. šŸ˜‚

Things got a little trickier when we reached the furniture installation, as he was VERY keen to come inside and get involved! As much as I loved having him around, we obviously couldnā€™t have him staying inside while we were installing all the furnitureā€¦ although he certainly had other ideas. šŸ˜‚šŸ¾

We werenā€™t sure if he belonged to someone locally, so we had someone come out to check ā€” but he wasnā€™t chipped.

Our theory is that he may have hitched a ride on a tradesmanā€™s van from another location and simply decided this was his new home!

Thankfully, heā€™s now with Toes Beans Rescue and safely in foster care while he waits to find his forever home. šŸ¤

And yesā€¦ I was VERY tempted to keep him. He was such a beautiful cat. šŸ„¹

One hallway, two possibilitiesā€¦ which would you choose? šŸ¤

We created these CGI visuals to help our clients compare two door designs and see how each would frame the view at the end of their hallway.

Option 1 ā€” a wider glazed opening for a more expansive view.
Option 2 ā€” a narrower arched doorway framed by elegant wall panelling.

Seeing the options within the complete scheme makes it so much easier to picture how a design will feel.

Swipe to compare and tell us your favourite in the comments ā€” 1 or 2? šŸ‘‡

Weā€™ll share the final choice in a future postā€¦

Install progress at our Saffron Walden project.

Seeing the details all come together after months of planning, designing and visualising is so satisfying for the team ā€” all those little decisions finally coming to life.

And we also had a brief visit from a little furry friend who absolutely does not live here, but must have come to inspect our progressā€¦ šŸˆšŸ¤£

Before it all comes together, it starts hereā€¦

Long before install day, our work begins with understanding how our clients want to live in their home ā€” developing the layouts, interior architecture, lighting, finishes and details that will ultimately shape every space.

This is where the vision starts to take form and where so many of the decisions behind the finished interiors are made.

A little look behind the design process before we show you more of how this beautiful Saffron Walden home came together. šŸ¤

The day it all comes togetherā€¦

A little behind the scenes from install day at our contemporary new-build barn project in Saffron Walden, Essex.

Weā€™ve spent the last 18 months working closely with our clients to design every layer of this home, so seeing the furniture arrive, curtains go up and all those carefully considered pieces come together is always such a special part of the journey.

This is the side of interior design you donā€™t always see ā€” a busy day on site, lots of boxes, plenty of organising and our team bringing months of work together to transform the spaces into a home.

Thereā€™s still more to come before this project is complete and ready for its final photoshoot, but for now, hereā€™s a little glimpse behind the scenes.

We canā€™t wait to share more of this beautiful home. šŸ¤

ā€œBut white is whiteā€¦ right?ā€ šŸ¤

NOPE!

White is not just white.

Swipe to look closely at these samples šŸ‘€

One feels pink, another blue, another greyā€¦

When choosing a white, we always look at its undertone and how it works with the other colours, finishes and materials in the room.

Because the right white can make everything else look better.

So noā€¦ white is NOT white! šŸ¤
