An early 18th century table-cut diamond now ring, dating to circa 1700 and likely produced in Western Europe, probably Germany.

Executed in high karat gold and silver, the ring is a classic example of late Baroque jewellery design, with its classic seven-stone “bow” arrangement which became highly popular from the late 17th century onwards.

During the Baroque era, ribbon bows became an essential decorative motif in aristocratic dress and jewellery, inspiring a wide range of ornaments including Sévigné brooches and bow-shaped rings such as this example.

An unusual and highly sculptural antique emerald and diamond ring dating to the 18th or 19th century; probably Balinese in origin.

The ring is set with a large foiled emerald cabochon to the centre, surrounded by rose cut diamonds.

Crafted in base metal overlaid with high-karat sheet gold, the ring has a hollow body typical of Southeast Asian jewels of the period, allowing for dramatic scale without excessive weight.

Ring size P 1/2 (UK) / 7.75 (US).

Few pieces capture colour quite like this.

An exceptional Edwardian Harlequin pendant brooch, circa 1905, composed entirely of natural, untreated gemstones - zircons, sapphires, and topaz in a spectrum of green, orange, yellow, purple, and blue, each cushion cut and ranging 4 to 6.5cts.

“Harlequin” jewels take their name from the famously colourful costume of the Commedia dell’Arte tradition, and have long been prized for their interplay of contrasting stones.

A versatile treasure - worn as either pendant or brooch. 21K gold with platinum.

The high-karat gold ring is set with a richly coloured rose cut garnet in a recessed cupped bezel, framed by delicately chased shoulders.

An unusual antique devotional gold ring, likely originating from the Alpine regions of Austria, South Tyrol, or Southern Germany, dating to the first half of the 19th century. The octagonal bezel is centred with the Christogram “IHS” in gold against a black enamel ground, surmounted by a cross.

The initials IHS derive from the Greek spelling of Jesus’ name and became one of the most recognisable Christian devotional symbols throughout Catholic Europe. Such rings were worn as personal expressions of faith and protection.
