Exhibitions include display of new hanging

floral tapestries at Merry - Go- Round group exhibition, JGM Gallery and Glass Cloud Gallery, London (2020) Floral Heraldry at PEER GALLERY, London (2017) and Go Figure at Cob Gallery, London (2014). She was nominated for the ZF Kunststiftung Scholarship, Zeppelin Museum Friedrichshafen, Germany (2015).

Been a pleasure to take part in this exhibition meeting the other artists and developing Floral Fan artworks🪭🌼 over four days onsite using found materials, including a bbq grill!

Total (to partial!) eclipse of the art - tonight! 🫣🌞🌚

Part two of the tour Berghof127 🇨🇭starting with five plaited works of Lea Gross made of two types of plantain (both ribwort and broadleaf species) which are placed at access points on farm. These works simultaneoulsy invite you to cross the threshold or pay close observance of it via doormat type format and their intricacy - resembling fine laced portals with visible hrs spent making.

Francisca Patrocino Francisca Cardoso Patrocínio has chosen to focus in on Meadow Cranesbill a native plant, enlarging it and painting it onto the farm house; making it’s home more widely known. Simultaneously, jars containing plants and fabric have been soaking across the site, imprinting the land directly and providing the opportunity to work with these fabrics and explore this connection directly with visitors. Next works are my own - using cut flowers and materials from the farm alongside those gathered from local forest. I am sharing the vibrancy of these pine cones in twine as I so enjoyed connecting and drawing out the natural materials intensity by using the materials designed to keep them at bay or under control; working predominently with re-purposed fencing to form structures as well as garden twine and wires. The resultant hanging fan shapes - are completely obsolete in the greenhouse, hanging in limbo, with materials rapidly drying out - a nod to rapid warming of the planet.

Andrea Sommer Andrea Sommer artworks represent quest for balance across farm and how human intervention is interwoven with production onsite. To find out more about what her artwork has been measuring onsite 💌 you must visit in person.

Also including a couple of fertiliser works by organiser, farmer and host Pascal Weidmann which are in the Beeren und Gemüseanbau Weidmann shop. These chemical processes adapting soils and changes to land being recorded in perpetuity as fine art.

Exploring Hofgemeinshaft exhibition and site 🇨🇭Berghof127 to give a glimpse into life Beeren und Gemüseanbau Weidmann and works in the fields - A tour in two parts!

Very fond 🔥hot memories of working and staying with organisor and farmer Pascal Weidmann meeting other artists and watching artworks unfurl onsite too..

Starting in newly cultivated permaculture fields with ceramic zopf works Michael Tulio 🫶 love the light like butter coming through with each slice.

Then on to Remo Meier Remo Meier appreciating the worms work and soil as site of activity, normally not in our sights or mind’s eye.

Finishing in heart of farm and interface between farmers / public - berry weighing and produce shop - with airport scans of fruits and flowers (feat. strawberries and baby’s breath) scanned by security team at Zurich airport and reminder of local and International supply chains of ‘natural’ products.

If you’re in Zurich or surrounds, there are two more weeks to catch the exhibition and go and pick / procur some beautiful local produce.. more soon! 🍓🫐

The roaming improvisation will begin in the chapel. It will start at 2:30pm and last 1 hour.

Sharing glimpse of collaborative bamboo works made at World Bamboo Organization Bamboo Architecture Company Architectural Workshops last week on Vignole :)) a very small Island off Venice Islands!

❤️🩷🕺🎋🎍 Joyful commission feat. flowers and bamboo cut from Peckham (problem spreader and neighbourhood introducer) and Wiltshire, where foresight planting resulted in beautiful grove along a river.

Friend Tim and I left when we were not sure what was river bank and what was bamboo, and the cutting seemed to be getting gratuitous with the grove getting whippy and hostile.. So much sweat - so much cut bamboo - got a few cuts n out!!

Thank you 🎍🥰 for lovely commission to bring these materials together

She’s still there! The phonebox not Gemma, director Brilliant Bamboo ❤️🫶

The phonebox floral installation designed and made with Madeley school students, a month on is still going strong and has attracted lots of lovely press locally. As such it will stay up a while longer. I am happy to see it has withstood both torrential rain and sun (S😵‍💫MMER) and look forward to keeping tabs on it!

Here we are passing in a van, then I’m imagining I’m a van = HONK = in spirit of making work and keeping it!

Hofgemainschaften exhibition is open and on until mid August. Sharing image here of my Floral Fans, made using materials found on-site, snapped from left row of tomatoes, within the largest of greenhouse structures.

A functional pick your own farm, visitors to the exhibition and fruit/veg pickers mix to explore the site. Situated just outside of Zurich (in a very convenient neighbourhood for airport - hence freeport - International art collectors and tax evaders swing by!) it is a beautiful spot for a visit. I had so much pleasure staying here for four days and making these works ☀️😊

Highlights foraging and making 🌾🌅

Shapeshifting in-situ work making two large fan shapes from found metal (fencing mainly!) to be filled with cut and found treasures: grasses, dried flower heads and fallen crispy tree branches and pinecones. Very much enjoying the tender gall mite bumps on the beech leaves and sense of painting with colourful twines as I fill in the wire structures.

Delicious fruits featured from pick-your-own fields Beeren und Gemüseanbau Weidmann 🍓🍓🍓🔥 seen incredible hauls heading to shop to be weighed. Hats off / firmly on to the pickers in the fields ☀️

After a solid days sweat and chopping, beleive might be rolled into the straw fellow spotted! 🫰🪞
