A hallway or a living room, curtains are the first thing that tells you whether a room was styled or just furnished. 🪟

3 mistakes we see constantly, and the fix for each:

1️⃣ Hung too low, right at the window frame → mount the rail as close to the ceiling as the room allows
2️⃣ Stopping short of the floor → let the fabric break gently on the floor, not hover above it
3️⃣ Skimpy panels with barely any fabric → use roughly double the track width

Which one’s happening in your room right now? Tell me below. 👇

Every room has a natural balance. This one had lost it. The furniture was too small for the space and the colours were competing rather than conversing.

We started again with proportion: a generous sofa, a coffee table that holds the room, and pieces sized to the architecture. The palette was quietened to soft greys, sage and charcoal, so texture could do the talking. Silver velvet, a geometric weave, a single feathered cushion.

Same walls, same light. A completely different feeling.

Which do you notice first: the scale or the colour?

Chelsea Creek, in the light it was designed for. ✨

We’ve been looking forward to sharing this one. A Chelsea apartment where every room was shaped around how it feels at the end of the day: bespoke joinery with brass inlay, curtains that soften the afternoon, and shelves that glow once the lights come on.

Swipe to see the same shelves twice, in daylight and after dark. Same objects, completely different room.

Lights on or lights off, which version wins for you? Tell us below. 👇

September, in one breath. 🤍

New connections, an old project revisited, a milestone birthday, new work taking shape further afield, and a launch we’d been sitting on for weeks.

And then… because a business runs better when its founder actually rests, a week that was just mine.

Thank you for being part of all of it. What was your September like? Tell us below. 👇

A small hallway doesn’t need more space. It needs better decisions. 🚪 Swipe through 3 tricks that make a narrow hallway feel twice as wide. None of them involve a sledgehammer.

1️⃣ A full-length or oversized mirror, doubles the perceived width and bounces whatever light there is down the hall
2️⃣ One consistent floor and wall colour running the full length, no thresholds breaking it up. The eye reads it as one continuous space
3️⃣ Wall lighting instead of a single overhead. Wall or picture lights remove the shadows that make a narrow space feel like a tunnel

Which of these is missing from yours? Tell us below. 👇

Quiet luxury doesn’t arrive in one big drop, it’s layered in.

Swipe through the four layers we reach for every September: texture first, then the warmth of the light, one considered surface, and a colour deep enough to ground the room.

None of it needs new furniture. Just a few things, stacked in the right order.

Which layer is missing from your place right now — texture, light, detail or colour? Tell us below.👇

Same room. Two completely different feelings.

Before: beige walls, a floating TV unit, and a fireplace that never got used.

After: A statement chandelier doubled in the mirror above the mantel, a fire actually worth sitting by, and a coffee table styled for a proper game of backgammon.

Nothing about the shell changed. Same windows, same doors out to the garden. What changed is every decision made in between.

Which side would you rather curl up in? Tell us below. 👇

August, wrapped.
A month of small decisions that add up to something considered. From first sketches to the final styling detail.
Design work is rarely the big reveal. It’s the hundred quiet choices before it.

Every “effortless” room you’ve ever admired took someone moving that vase two inches to the left, several times.

Swipe through a few of the details we obsess over: a table set with its centrepiece just so, the stitching on a headboard strap, a lamp chosen to sit against the pattern behind it rather than fight it.

This is the part of design that never shows up on a floor plan, but it’s the part you feel the second you walk in.

Which detail caught your eye first? Tell us below. 👇
