Thank you so much for all your orders 🌼 La Rosa Macrame is now closed for a month while I visit family and deal with some medical issues!

All macramês have now be sent out and should be with you within the next couple days ♡ would be amazing if you could send me a pic in their new homes!

Working on these beautiful braids 🌼 spent yesterday afternoon working on a couple of these braided plant hangers and oof forgot how much work they are - having said that, It feels so rewarding once they are done! Love their look and how neat the braid looks 🙈 guess I'm bit bias

🌼 I'm taking a break 🌼 Yes, I've decided to go visit family and friends after a very long ccvid year away. I'll be abroad for about a month which unfortunately means I'll have to close the shop for the time being...

🌼 Thank for all your orders this week 🌼

It feels so rewarding to be working on some orders again, especially as these past couple months have been very slow and with barely any sales. I really appreciate your constant support and can guarantee a happy dance was made after each order 🙈

I'm also dropping some more stock at today so if you're strolling around SE London and would like to see my macrame up and close this is your chance to do so 🌼

Colourful macrame mat and it's beautiful spider plant 🌼 can't believe how fast this plant is growing - definitely one of the most rewarding plant babies so far!

What's one decor trend you abolutely love? 🌼 honestly I've never been too much into decorating and really thinking about what my home would look like... until lockdown happened... the amount of content I know consume on a daily basis is just insane (sometimes overwhelming) but also rewarding 🌼 I've just really been enjoying turning my little nook into a beautiful calming space I can call my own...

and with that all the plants started appearing, jute baskets on the walls and a cute colour block above my craft space 🌼 I guess I went all in now!

Did you know I only use 100% recycled cotton cord for my macrame? 🌼

Sustainability is a cause very close to my heart and when it comes to running this small business it could't have been otherwise.

I make sure the rope I use is durable, beautiful and made of recycled cotton - sure, it does come with an extra price point but I like to believe it is worth the commitment 🌼

Sharing my story...

I'm Rosita and I am the maker behind La Rosa Macrame! I was first introduced to macrame about 8 years ago by a backpack traveller in Brazil and It was love at first sight, for the art I mean. Soon I learned the technique for making macrame jewelry and started selling it at university but, as life goes on, I lost the passion a couple years later when moving to the UK. It was just too much happening in my life at that time!

Finally I settled in and well.. my passion for crafting came back. I also started my beginners journey to adopting some new plant babies and that led me to having to figure out where to fit my growing plant collection in a small apartment. Can you guess? I started making plant hangers... and haven't stopped since!

This year, with lockdown and that sudden urge to redecorate my whole house, I was inspired to start adventuring into creating some new pieces to decorate my walls, so I started making wall hangings too! Once thing led to the other and La Rosa Macrame was born 🤍

It’s amazing to see how my creations have evolved along the years. Just love how versatile this technique can be!
