A whole year of running my own sewing studio. Happy anniversary to me! 🥳🎉

Should we run another jumper workshop?

I absolutely love sewing with stretchy fabrics, and I’d love to teach more of you how to work with them too!

There’s nothing I love more than a good pair of trousers… except maybe teaching others how to make their very own pair!

Did you see all the ones we’ve made this year in our adult trouser workshop?

Is there a workshop you’d love to see us offer that we haven’t included? Let us know!

Did you know that booking a term of sewing lessons gives your child priority booking for the next term?

There’s a reason we do this!

Some children need a little longer to finish their projects, others really benefit from the consistency of attending the same class each week and seeing familiar faces.

And for some, it’s simply because they’ve found something they absolutely love and want to keep doing!

We want to give every child the opportunity to continue learning, creating and growing in confidence.

Priority booking for our current students ends on Monday 12th October!

From Tuesday 13th October, any remaining spaces will be released on our website for new children to join us.

So if you’ve been hoping to book your child into one of our sewing classes, keep an eye on our website!

Have you ever seen a 6-year-old sew their very own trousers?

At On A Sew, we believe you’re never too young to start learning to sew!

Our youngest sewists start with the basics, learning how to use a sewing machine and building their confidence. As they grow, so do their skills, taking on more challenging projects and eventually making clothes they can proudly wear!

And we’ve got some exciting news! We’ve just added a NEW Tuesday sewing class from 5–6pm for children aged 12+!

Whether they’re complete beginners or already have some sewing experience, we’d love to welcome them to our studio.

October half term is filling up fast!

We still have spaces available for our Monday Teen-Only Session, but for our 8–12 year olds, Friday is now the only day with spaces left!

If they love getting creative and want to spend the day sewing, making and learning new skills, grab one of the remaining spaces before they’re gone.

All sewing abilities welcome , including complete beginners.

A little behind the scenes of what goes on in the studio… from tidying up after our Teen & Young Creatives sessions to making a denim sample for our Skirt Workshop.

Our 4-hour Skirt Workshop is all about building your confidence with garment making and learning the skills to make something you’ll actually want to wear again and again.

And of course, we’ll teach you how to add pockets… because where else are we supposed to put our hands?

£80 | Maximum 5 people
Fabric can be brought from home or purchased from us on the day.

This isn’t something I would normally ask, but if you’ve ever attended one of my workshops, brought your child to a class or simply spent some time in the studio, I could really use your help.

Shortly after I shared a post explaining why I have to stand by my cancellation policy, I received a number of negative reviews, one after another, which I don’t believe reflect genuine experiences of my studio.

Reviews have a huge impact on a small business like mine, and it’s upsetting to see something we’ve worked so hard to build represented in a way that I don’t recognise.

So, if you’ve genuinely had a positive experience with us, I would be incredibly grateful if you could take a couple of minutes to leave an honest review and share your experience.

I don’t expect everyone to love everything I do, and genuine feedback will always be welcome. I’m simply asking the people who actually know my little studio to help make sure the reviews reflect the real experiences of the people who come through our doors.

Thank you, as always, for supporting me, my team and this little sewing community. It means more than you know.
