From the kitchen table to the doors of Number 10 and Number 11. 🇬🇧

Wow. Hot Pot Africa made it to Street!

Yesterday was one of those moments in business where you pause and think, “How did we get here?”

A few years ago, if you had told me that my Nigerian Yaji brand would one day be part of conversations around international trade, I may have politely smiled and asked what you had put in the Suya Spice. 😄

But that is the beauty of entrepreneurship. You never quite know where the journey will take you.

Standing outside those famous black doors, I thought about the young girl from Nigeria who simply loved her Naija spices. She could never have imagined that one day she would be standing at No. 10 and No. 11 Downing Street, discussing global opportunities for African food.

I make African spices and baking mixes through Hot Pot Africa, and what started around my kitchen table has opened doors to conversations about international trade."

A huge thank you to , and the team for the special invitation to No. 11 Street.

It was a brilliant evening hearing from the Chancellor of the Exchequer, The Rt Hon Rachel Reeves MP, and Small Business Britain founder Michelle Ovens CBE, connecting with passionate entrepreneurs and changemakers — and, of course, meeting Larry the No. 10 cat. 🐈

Thank you also to the Department for Business and Trade and UK Export Finance for supporting and championing British businesses as they explore new global opportunities.

To our customers, friends, family and everyone who has supported this journey, championed the work and believed in the vision: thank you.

This moment belongs to you too.

Follow your passion. You never know which doors it may open.
