Universal Design Studio have created a workspace in keeping with their ethos of ‘designed to last. The material palette leans heavily on natural woods and other materials such as leather and cork that develop a patina with time, rather than needing to be replaced.

We are excited to share that the Avington Chair by Bill Amberg Studio and Joss Stoddart, has been named Winner of the Livingetc Style Award 2026 for Furniture: Craft.

The Avington Chair is quintessentially English in material, design, and construction. Bringing together two master craftsmen and two heritage materials, the Avington Chair is made wholly in the UK in the workshops of Joss Stoddart and Bill Amberg Studio using English oak and oak bark–tanned British leather.

We would like to thank the Livingetc judging panel for this recognition and everyone who contributed to the Avington Chair.

The best spot for sunny weekends.

We recently completed this leather-wrapped column, commissioned by for a private residence in London.

The column is covered in a vegetable-tanned shoulder panel, which was hand-stitched on site and will patinate beautifully over time, creating an ever richer character.

Pulling up imagery of our award winning Leather Crafted Cabinet for exciting meetings today.

Our bespoke, leather-bound and lined whiskey case made in collaboration with Ephemerus Concepts and East Asia Whisky is a celebration of heritage and innovation.

This cabinet is covered in a vegetable tanned, debossed leather honouring the history of the Scottish whisky and the cultural significance of Japan’s native oak. The interior has been lined in cream calf-skin with the box mechanism featuring an articulated plinth expertly engineered specially for this project. The twin decanters rise elegantly as the box opens, giving a sleek transition between the closed and opened casket.

Leather treads and risers for this beautiful, historic house in Hampstead designed by RETROUVIUS.

Rather than altering the original staircase, weathered by more than a century of footsteps, the stairs were left and we clad them in 3 mm full vegetable-tanned Tuscan shoulder leather to protect and extend its life.
