Element One House is an e-furniture boutique created by Interior Stylist, Margaret Bourke and TV Presenter and Stylist, Jordana Ashkenazi. When decorating and styling Jordana’s new home, we struggled to find pieces of unique and stylish furniture at the right price both in stores and on-line. We would scour the internet and head out on shopping expeditions only to return empty handed. The only opt

ion being to pay a King’s ransom for a piece of furniture which would mean the rest of Jordana’s house would be bare! So we put our heads together and decided to do what we love…shopping!! The Element One House e-furniture boutique felt like a natural progression. We love to do the hunting for you to provide you with the latest furniture trends at affordable prices. We believe that everyone should be able to afford a bit of style in their home so you can be proud of your home with the individual pieces from our exciting range. Make sure you check back here regularly as we are constantly adding new products to our collections!

I was delighted to be asked by Homes & Gardens to share my thoughts on Pamela Anderson’s beautifully understated bathroom and why, sometimes, the most luxurious spaces are the ones that feel calm, warm and effortlessly lived in.

Always grateful to contribute my interior design insights to publications I admire.

South Kensington Design Concept.

A unique property in the heart of South Kensington, originally built in the early 2000s and now undergoing a complete transformation.

The project involves stripping the building back to shell and reimagining the interiors with a refined contemporary aesthetic. While period and traditional styles often dominate Central London, this scheme embraces a cleaner, more architectural approach, centred around natural materials, warm neutral tones and understated luxury.

We’re looking forward to bringing this vision to life and sharing the journey as the project progresses.

There’s a reason people are drawn to homes like this.

It’s not just the panelling, the ceiling details or the beautiful materials. It’s the sense of permanence.

In a world of fast trends and quick renovations, spaces with character, craftsmanship and thoughtful proportions simply feel different.

The best interiors aren’t the ones that scream for attention. They’re the ones that still look beautiful ten years later.

What detail catches your eye first?

As mentioned in my recent Daily Mail feature, creating a luxury bathroom isn’t always about spending more money. It’s about knowing where to invest and which details will have the biggest impact.

One area I often encourage clients to prioritise is the vanity. A beautifully designed vanity can instantly elevate a bathroom and create a far more bespoke, considered feel.

Curves continue to be a strong design trend, helping to soften a space and add a sense of elegance, while natural materials such as timber, stone and brass create warmth and timeless appeal.

At Element One House, we specialise in bespoke joinery and work with some of the UK’s best suppliers and craftsmen to create beautiful, functional spaces tailored to each client and budget.

Whether it’s a statement vanity, a bespoke media unit or a fully fitted dressing room, investing in quality joinery is often one of the most effective ways to add value and character to a home.

I’ll be sharing more on bespoke joinery next week.

Just because something is expensive doesn’t mean it’s elegant.

From marble everywhere and crushed velvet, to silver carpets, mirrored furniture and oversized statement lighting, I shared my verdict with the Daily Mail on the celebrity homes that scream “new money” and the design choices that can instantly cheapen a space.

The most luxurious interiors aren’t usually the loudest.

They’re layered, considered, timeless and know when to stop.

Design concept approved by our client ✔️

A little glimpse into our Kensington dressing room concept… traditional detailing, antique bronze finishes, arched display moments and just enough boutique energy.

Not gonna lie… I definitely want to move in now 🤍

Spoke to the Daily Mail this week about the flooring choices that instantly elevate a home… and the ones that can quietly cheapen a space 👀

From faux marble and ultra gloss tiles to real wood flooring, underfloor heating and celebrity homes getting it right (or very wrong), I shared my take on what works, what doesn’t… and which trends are tasteful versus instant regret.

Think: love it or leave it — interiors edition ✨
