I wasn’t looking for them.

They just appeared. 🐒🐒

Pencil, acrylic markers and oil pastels.

Still exploring.

Still getting lost on purpose.

One strange creature at a time. 😄

Who says growing older means feeling older?

I’ve been experimenting with coloured pencils this afternoon and having far more fun than I expected.

Two women in their 80s, lifting pink dumbbells, dressed exactly how they want and enjoying every minute of it. Yeah 💓💓

This was pure fun to make.

The False Self. 👁️

What if the person you’re trying so hard to become is actually further away from who you truly are?

For a long time, so much of my identity was built around achievement, productivity, external validation and the roles I played for other people.

I thought fulfilment would come from doing more, proving more, becoming more.

But over time, I started realising how exhausting it is to constantly live outwardly — always measuring yourself through how you are perceived instead of how you actually feel inside.

The Soul Turns Inward is an A3 acrylic painting inspired by that shift.

The central figure opens inwardly rather than outwardly, symbolising the moment we stop searching outside ourselves for meaning and begin reconnecting with something quieter, deeper and more instinctive.

The eye above represents awareness beyond the ego — the part of ourselves capable of observing our thoughts, fears and identities without becoming trapped inside them.
The eye below becomes the inner self: softer, calmer and more honest.

This piece is really about unlearning.

Letting go of the version of ourselves built for approval.

And slowly returning to who we were underneath all the noise.

I almost didn’t post this. 🙈

After 14 years living in London, I still feel uncomfortable hearing myself speak English online. But hiding behind silence was starting to feel worse than the fear itself.

So… this is my first attempt 😅

Does anyone else feel less like themselves when speaking another language?

What if every artwork carried a hidden conversation behind it? ✍🏼

Behind each of my paintings, I write a short reflection about the emotional idea that inspired the piece. This one is titled What Contains, What Expands.

A reflection on feminine and masculine energy as complementary forces within ourselves.

The female figure represents intuition, emotional depth and the ability to hold and nurture. The male figure symbolises action, expression and outward expansion.

One grounds while the other reaches outward. One receives while the other reveals.

Together, the two figures reflect the balance between inner reflection and external action within human experience.

I think we spend most of life overdeveloping one side of ourselves while neglecting the other.

Which energy do you feel more connected to lately? ❤️

What If It Goes Right? 👀

I’ve been thinking a lot about how easily the mind turns fear into certainty.

One uncomfortable sensation in the body.
One unanswered message.
One possibility.

And suddenly the mind builds an entire future around it.

This piece, What If It Goes Right?, came from trying to interrupt that pattern.

Fear narrows. It turns one small moment into a tunnel with no exits.

But life rarely moves in straight lines.

There are variables we can’t see yet, people we haven’t met, doors we don’t know exist.

The mind forgets this because certainty feels safer.

Possibility feels riskier. And so we choose the story that hurts us before it even happens.

About my work:

The opening form at the top became almost like a seed, a portal, or a mind splitting open into multiple possibilities instead of collapsing into one worst-case scenario. The falling shapes feel like thoughts, eyes, intuitions, futures — all the versions of reality we forget could also exist.

I think discipline is sometimes less about control… and more about not believing every fearful thought immediately.

Still learning that.

I think sketchbooks reveal a completely different side of an artist ✨ As a very stereotypical Virgo 🙈, my sketchbook is one of the few places where I let go of perfection a little 🤪

Lately I’ve been experimenting with new animals and mythological symbolism in mine.

This one ended up somewhere between a reptile, a serpent and an ancient dream 🐉

At 51, I’m slowly learning that vulnerability might be more powerful than perfection
