Every Thursday we explore carpet terms. Some of these date back years and are just interesting snippets of information. Others are still used today and can be helpful for our interior designer customers in determining the right carpets for them.

Today we look at the term "Pitch".

Pitch - Pitch refers to the spacing between the needles on a tufting machine. It influences the density of the carpet and plays an important role in determining the finished appearance and performance.

It's that time of the week again... Theory Thursday. Today we are looking at Face Weight.

Face Weight - Face weight refers to the amount of pile yarn used in a carpet, usually measured per square metre.
