Military is not my usual area at all, but I find these creatively inspiring in design and texture. The pewter plate contains various British military insignia badges in metal of cloth. Own a piece of living history that tells the tales of courage, honour, and sacrifice. Each meticulously crafted pip and badge carries the legacy of the brave soldiers and workers.

• A gold and black embroidered cloth badge featuring a roaring lion rampant This is a modern copy made from 24k bullion wire thread. £20

• 2 Royal Army music badges Royal Artillery Lyre 1950 18k gold bullion wire embroidered trade badge featuring a musical lyre underneath a maple leaf. A matching bullion trade badge also displaying a musical lyre. These signifies a Military Bandmaster or Musician proficiency badge, typically worn on a dress uniform, by qualified musicians within British or Commonwealth military bands. £15 Pair

• Pair of metal I.C.D.S. (Industrial Civil Defence Service) lapel badges. Featuring the Lion of England beneath a Royal Crown on a blue enamel background. Designed with Queen’s Crown so dates post 1952. These ones were used during the Cold War era for factory and utility defence units. £15 pair

• Pair of metal R.A.F.A. (Royal Air Forces Association)”Wings Appeal” lapel pins. distributed to support the RAF charity. £15 pair

• Set of 3 Officers metal Insignia pips. These are an original WW1 British Army Officers Insignia Crown Pips for the rank of Rank of Captain. £15 set

• Metal official cap badge of the South Staffordshire Regiment £15

• British Army Officer cloth Insignia pips cream embroidery mounted on a red felt square signifies an officer holding the rank of Second Lieutenant one pip per shoulder, or Lieutenant 2 pips or Captain 3 pips

The market is open from approximately 9am to 6pm, with a considered selection of dealers throughout all the local passages.
