✨️ Before and After transformation✨️ This room needed a little pick me up and changing just a few key things made all the difference. It’s not always about knocking down walls and months of inconvenience.

Sometimes small changes really can make a big difference. The key is knowing exactly what to change and what to leave alone.⁠

In this room the transformation led with the wallpaper. It gave the rooms a rhythm that the plain cream never had.⁠
⁠
From there simply dressing the room with new lamps and cushions made all the difference. Modest changes but the right ones that come from years of experience.⁠

You don’t have to rebuild to refresh.

Should the headboard be the most interesting thing in the room?

We think so.

Most people treat it as background, something plain to prop the pillows against. We treat it as the reason the room exists.

Look at this one. A tree of life curling across the curve with flowers and leaves. It’s the whole story the room is told around.

Everything else falls into place beneath it. Embroidered florals to the sides. A red ticking stripe through the middle. None of it matches yet all of it belongs.

That’s how a layered English room earns its character. You give it one piece worth looking at, then build slowly outward until the colour and pattern feel collected.

What do you see first, the whole room, or the headboard you can’t help but notice?

If you fall for a headboard before you’ve even taken in the rest of the room then you’re going to want to stay.

That painted tree of life, curling up and across the curve with leaves and flowers tucked into the branches. It’s the kind of piece you’d happily sit a while.

Nothing here matches, yet everything belongs.

That’s the thing about a layered English room, the colour and pattern aren’t competing, they’re just keeping each other company.
