What a weekend! 😍
Afreek Art Bazaar was absolutely delighted to be part of the Ghana Union Harlow in partnership with Harlow Council — Ghana Festival in the Park, and what an incredible celebration it was!
From the moment we arrived, there was such a wonderful sense of community, culture, joy and togetherness. 🎶💃🏾🌍
Our display was ready, the beautiful African-inspired treasures were out, and then came the best part — meeting people.❤️
So many lovely conversations, new connections, familiar faces, curious visitors and wonderful fellow vendors. We met some genuinely beautiful people and felt so warmly welcomed throughout the day.
And what a lovely moment to have Chris Vince MP stop by and visit Afreek Art Bazaar — and even share a photograph with us in front of our display. 🙏🏾✨
For a small business like ours, these moments mean so much. They remind us that what we are building is about more than simply selling beautiful things.
It is about culture, connection, conversation, creativity and community.
It is about bringing a little piece of home into every space we enter. ❤️🌍
A huge thank you to Ghana Union Harlow, your wonderful team, all the organisers, volunteers, sponsors, fellow traders, performers and everyone who helped make the festival such a vibrant and memorable celebration.

This weekend, Afreek Art Bazaar travelled to Manchester for the Melanin Markets Summer Pop-Up, and I’m returning home with a grateful heart.
A sincere thank you to everyone who stopped by my stall—whether you came to browse, shared a conversation, admired the craftsmanship, or chose to take a little piece of Africa home with you. Every visit, every smile and every purchase was truly appreciated.
A special thank you to Bianca, Rio and the entire Melanin Markets team for all the work that went into organising the event. Thank you for creating a space that celebrates Black-owned businesses and creatives, and for your kindness and support throughout the day.
One of the greatest gifts of these events is meeting good people, and Manchester certainly didn’t disappoint. It was a pleasure connecting with fellow traders, customers and organisers, and sharing the beauty and stories behind handcrafted treasures from across the African continent.
Every event teaches me something, and every journey strengthens Afreek Art Bazaar a little more.
