Ceramics Forged in Light — Interview / Chapter 3
Nisan Tunçak

In the third chapter of our interview series, Nisan Tunçak shared the collaborative approach behind Ceramics Forged in Light and VitrA’s perspective on innovation.

Bringing together material, technology, and design thinking, the installation invites visitors to rethink material transformation through 100% recycled ceramic tiles, recycled washbasins, advanced production technologies, and immersive spatial experiences.

As an outcome of the long-standing creative dialogue between VitrA and Snøhetta, the installation approaches sustainability not only through materials and production processes, but also through long-term creative collaborations.

Ceramics Forged in Light — Interview / Chapter 2
Antonello Soro

In the second chapter of the Ceramics Forged in Light interview series, Antonelli Soro shared insights into the role of recycled ceramic washbasins and 100% recycled porcelain tiles within the installation, as well as VitrA’s material approach.

A ceramic language shaped through dust, dots, micro and macro flakes comes together with circular design thinking and technological innovation to form a new surface narrative.

VitrA’s perspective reveals that recycled material is not simply a product, but part of a broader approach shaped around sustainable production, energy, and material transformation.
