Design is at its most meaningful when it brings people together.

To celebrate the Elicyon × Lalique Bar Room at WOW!house 2026, we were delighted to welcome friends and members to the renowned Roof Gardens for an evening of conversation, connection and summer celebration.

Hosted by our Founder and Director, Charu Gandhi, alongside Frederick Fischer, Managing Director of Lalique, the evening centred on a conversation exploring Designing for Connection. Together, they discussed how storytelling, craftsmanship and sensory experience shape interiors that do more than simply look beautiful. They create spaces that bring people together and enrich the way we live.

Following the discussion, guests enjoyed a Lalique champagne reception, alongside summer drinks, seasonal bites and the opportunity to reconnect with fellow creatives from the worlds of design, art, hospitality, fashion and culture. Set against the backdrop of one of London’s most iconic rooftop gardens, the evening was filled with thoughtful conversations and playful touches, including our own refreshing snack to mark the summer season.

As the days grow longer, outdoor spaces come into their own.

At their best, they blur the boundary between inside and out, creating a seamless dialogue between architecture, landscape and everyday living. Thoughtfully designed gardens, terraces and outdoor living spaces become natural extensions of the home, places to retreat, entertain and reconnect with their surroundings.

From intimate city terraces to expansive landscaped gardens, every project is shaped by its setting and the people who inhabit it, balancing beauty, function and a lasting connection to nature.

With the doors to WOW!house 2026 now closed, we find ourselves reflecting on the conversations, collaborations and moments that brought the Lalique Bar to life.

It was a privilege to see the project interpreted through the pages of so many design and lifestyle publications, each capturing a different facet of its craftsmanship, creative partnerships and design narrative.

To everyone who visited, photographed, wrote about and shared the room, thank you. We are also grateful to the team at WOW!house for creating a platform that continues to champion thoughtful design and exceptional craftsmanship.

As the project takes its place in our archive and the pieces live on through displays or having been sold to purchasers , we look back at some of the press coverage that marked this memorable chapter.

ELICYON × LALIQUE | SUPPLIER HIGHLIGHT

Three One Four Studio:

Designed in collaboration with Three One Four Studio, these custom resin pouffe bases were created as sculptural accents within the space, balancing form, materiality and function.

Crafted with amber-coloured resin bases, each piece was designed to catch and refract light throughout the day, introducing warmth, depth and a subtle sense of movement.

A thoughtful collaboration that brought together craftsmanship and material exploration, resulting in pieces that feel both distinctive and deeply connected to the wider design story.

ELICYON × LALIQUE | SUPPLIER HIGHLIGHT

Shamsian Marquetry: Shamsian

Crafted with extraordinary precision, the marquetry is thoughtfully positioned at multiple heights throughout the space - from the cornice at ceiling level, to the scattered Lalique panels at eye level, and the curved bar stools at seated level - creating a layered journey of discovery from every vantage point.

Layering contrasting veneers with intricate pattern work, the marquetry draws on a rich tradition of craftsmanship while embracing a contemporary design language, bringing warmth, texture and depth to the interior.
