Studio Materi are finalists in three categories at the SBID International Design Awards 2026: Faisan in Berlin, Oliphant Street in Queen’s Park, and Wetherby Gardens in South Kensington.
Entries are assessed by a technical panel and an international judging panel, with the public vote making up the final 10%. Because our project sit in three separate categories, you can vote in all three.
The link is in our bio. Voting closes at 5pm on 4th September.
Just tap the link in our bio, click the 'vote for this finalist' button and add your name and email. Takes about 30 seconds.
You can only vote once in each category.
A Berliner Zimmer sits at the corner of a traditional Berlin apartment: a generous room with a single window, dark and internalized in the original layout.
We replaced a solid wall with a glazed Crittal screen and it became the centre of the home. Two adjoining apartments, joined into one at 293 square meters.
A corner plot gives you light on two sides. The work here was making it travel: from the garden to the kitchen into the dining and living space.
Honed travertine and timber, with bespoke joinery holding everything a family home has to hold.
The clients for Wetherby Gardens live overseas, so we built this South Kensington apartment inside Immerse, our real-time visualisation platform, and let them move through it before construction began.
They compared materials and lighting live, in the room.
Thank you to SBID International Design Awards for the shortlisting comma to the clients who trusted us with these three homes, and to everyone who takes a moment to vote.
