Daniel Bexfield is one of the country's best-known and respected specialists in Fine Quality Silver today. His standing is built on an unrivalled passion for superb silver pieces made across four centuries. Established in 1981 as 16 year old, Daniel quickly developed an eye for silver, honing his knowledge when he branched out with his own stall at markets around the country but most notably at Lo
ndon's famous Portobello Road and the Bond Street Antiques Centre. In 1998 Daniel opened the doors of Daniel Bexfield Antiques in the capital's prestigious Burlington Arcade, in the heart of Mayfair, where he traded successfully for 15 years. However, due to a change of Landlord he was given no choice but to leave the Arcade, but has now opened a larger, more exciting shop in Cecil Court. Recognition of Daniel's unparalleled knowledge in antique silver followed with countless interview requests and television appearances, ranging from Cash in the Attic, Going For A Song and Car Booty to Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is and the aptly-named Trust Me, I'm A Dealer. Daniel is a director of the British Antique Dealers Association (BADA) and a member The Association of Art and Antique Dealers (LAPADA) and the Confederation Internationale des Negociants en Oeuvres d'Art (CINOA). He is also publishing editor of The Spoon Collectors’ Magazine, The Finial. Book credits include the Buyer's Guide, Silver & Plate, from Miller's Publications. Daniel guarantees that all pieces are in excellent condition and are without damage or repair (unless otherwise stated). He prides himself on only dealing with the best and, as a result, rejects the majority of the pieces he sees. "Antiques do not have to be in poor condition just because they are old," he says.
