This year I discovered marled yarn again. It’s not a new thing for me- I used a similar yarn ages ago…
Idea to knit a cardigan, using marled yarn,
was born recently, when season changed. Adding details which are useful in any cardigan as pockets and hood , I got the result which I am happy with!
I decided to make insert pockets, using contrast colour yarn. I think my cardigan looks more “live” 🙂.

Always wanted to use Smocked pattern in my knitting project. Also never tried knitting saddle shoulders. Finaly decided to try this fun and attractive knit- almost all made in stockinette stitch! I knitted this sweater seamless in the round from top down. The sleeves are also worked in the round down to the cuffs. I added Drops kid silk to my Drops Nord yarn, so final result exceed my expectations. And , most important for me - no any seam🫣🫶.

I had a lot of yarn leftovers from previous projects. So I picked arran weight yarn for my Log Cabin Lapghan. For the best result I chose all the same weight yarn. Just decided to add kid silk leftovers to red colour borders. It is a great stash buster project!
Btw I used Log Cabin knitting technique for the first time. Thinking to make something else, might poncho or coat?🤔

To get pictures of completed dress (knitted using my knitting pattern) on New Year’s Eve was unexpected gift from Corinne Charvet. She shared stunning pictures on IG and let me repost them.
I wanted to highlight- if you follow any knitting pattern - it is not necessary to use recommended yarn- you definitely can choose yours.
