We’re delighted to share news of a Christmas Pop-Up taking place at L’ART in the Brompton Design District.

Across 12–13 December (10am–6pm), L’ART will host a curated edit of beauty, fragrance and lifestyle brands, celebrating craftsmanship, wellbeing and thoughtful gifting at the end of the year.

The pop-up will feature:
– Naturardi – skincare inspired by Moroccan beauty rituals
– Alyscamps – natural, safe skincare crafted in Provence
– Maison 21G perfumes – created by Johanna Monange, the nose behind Lancôme’s La Vie est Belle
– Candles, reed diffusers and gift cards
– Italian jewellery

Special moments
Friday 12 December
Complimentary drinks throughout the day, with fresh croissants and pain au chocolat served in the morning.

Saturday 13 December, 2–5pm
A Moroccan tea ceremony — an opportunity to gather, connect and experience a cultural ritual that has influenced much of the skincare curation.

This week at the London Design Festival, the historic Brompton Cemetery Chapel was brought to life with Landscape, Silence, and Night — a collaborative performance responding to A Softer World.
Following immersive installations, durational dance, and modular synthesis workshops, the project culminated in a series of experimental pieces blending sound, movement, and visual practice, devised with twelve performers inside the Grade II listed chapel.

The final performance was absolutely packed — standing room only — and proved to be an incredible, thought-provoking experience for all who attended.

A huge thank you to the performers whose energy and creativity transformed the chapel into a space of resonance, reflection, and exchange

✨ Brompton Late Night — Thursday 18 September, 6–9 pm ✨

As dusk falls, Brompton Design District opens its doors for a special evening of shared discovery. From 6–9pm, showrooms, galleries and cultural spaces across the district host talks, gatherings and celebrations — inviting visitors to experience design through connection, empathy and exchange.

Starting at The Lavery on 4 Cromwell Place, Late Night is a chance to wander, to linger, and to see South Kensington’s design heart illuminated with conversation and creativity in celebration of London Design Festival.

Tender Revolution brings together designers, artists, and makers from the Royal College of Art in an exhibition at Brompton Design District for London Design Festival. Responding to the curatorial theme A Softer World, the showcase spans furniture, textiles, and objects, presenting design as an act of care, connection, and renewal. Foregrounding attentiveness and transformation, the participating designers challenge rigid systems that suppress complexity and erase stories beyond binaries. Instead, they embrace contradiction, vulnerability, and embodied experience as powerful sites of renewal, inviting visitors to reimagine the role of design in shaping more caring futures.

Brompton Design District is pleased to welcome Sub-Zero & Wolf for an Open House Drop-In Day and evening at their Knightsbridge showroom. In collaboration with CIE London and Hendel & Hendel, the event celebrates the unveiling of newly refurbished displays in the heart of the District.

Guests are invited to enjoy refreshments while exploring the reimagined ground floor kitchen and networking space, before heading upstairs to experience the latest Designer Series. Celebrating 60 years of the Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand Collection, Cassina presents Staging Modernity. This exhibition features special anniversary editions of four iconic models—Fauteuil dossier basculant small armchair, Fauteuil Grand Confort petit modèle, Fauteuil Grand Confort grand modèle armchairs, and Chaise longue à réglage continu—now available in red, blue, and green. Displayed alongside animal reproductions, the installation challenges the "machine for living" concept. These special editions are part of the "durable" series, crafted with circular materials.

In a culture shaped by algorithms and speed, how can design reclaim tactility, intimacy, and play?

Join Lucy Roeber (Erotic Review), Ben Watkinson (GF Smith), Frith Kerr (Studio Frith) and Jack Godfrey-Wood (Heirloom) for a conversation on creating “softer” modes of working and living.

The session explores design as a humanising force in a digital age — where heritage, materials, and storytelling meet to foster connection and care.

The discussion will last 45 minutes, followed by questions and convivial networking in The Lavery.
