These photos are of some of my latest pieces: a 4-place coffee set (with side plates) designed with Celtic symbols of friendship for a special birthday present, 18 round boxes commissioned for the guests at a child’s Christening, and 2 heart boxes with initials for more birthday gifts.

As the Easter term comes to a close here is some more lovely work completed during the final half of the term. These pieces are painted by Mashi, Cris, Susie, Cristina and Ada (the gold grape plate and the black cat mug are mine!). The Summer term begins in three weeks. Happy Easter 🐣

Visiting Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris last weekend brought back memories of the Paris International Porcelain Painting show in 1995 where I won the 1st prize with my painting of the Rose Window on a very large 50cm diameter plate (entries had to have a Paris theme!). My prize was an amazing trip to Brazil to demonstrate at the Rio and Sao Paolo shows the following year. Such wonderful experiences, it was a a fantastic period for porcelain painting.

Had a lovely morning in this beautiful venue in Surrey promoting the art of painting on porcelain at the AWS (American Women in Surrey) monthly meeting. A lovely group and lots of interest. Thanks to my Tuesday students for giving me the morning off!

Our Christmas term has come to an end and it’s been another great term of painting, chat and fun. Here are a few of the pieces that were finished at the end of term. A little glimpse of this morning’s class, everyone painting and chatting and Myriam has moved over to do some banding on the banding wheel over by the door. One week (and a half) left of this very busy term, it’s been so busy and so much fun that it has flown by!
