What an opening party

A great moment seeing the space come to life- designed and delivered by Hamilford Design. From first sketches through to final touches, every detail shaped to bring a sense of the Amalfi Coast into Marylebone.

Good people, good energy and a room doing exactly what it was designed to do.

The Modern Barn House, Cotswolds.

At the heart of the home, the living room is designed to feel calm, grounded and quietly refined. Marble-effect porcelain forms the fireplace, balanced by warm wood tones and natural materials that bring depth. A cohesive palette of browns and textures, considered for how the space is lived in day to day.

A brilliant few days at Design Week at the Chelsea Harbour.

Great conversations with hosted by .rich alongside and .studio on the realities of landing a project, and another with and exploring how heritage and craftsmanship continue to shape contemporary interiors.

Thank you to everyone involved for such thoughtful and practical discussions for the design community.

Thank you .rich of for hosting myself .studio and

A really honest and practical conversation at the yesterday, for our fellow designers on how to actually land a project - not the polished version we often see, but the real process behind it.

A few things that stayed with me:

First impressions matter. Respond quickly. Treat every enquiry as if it could become something meaningful.

But beyond that, projects are rarely won on portfolio alone. They’re built on trust and chemistry. Meeting clients in their home, reading the room, understanding the soft cues that tell you what someone really wants from their space.

It’s about showing professionalism while still being human. Introducing the team clearly, setting boundaries early and making sure the scope of works and briefing are properly signed off so everyone feels confident moving forward.

Case studies help clients see what’s possible. But reassurance, clarity and genuine connection are often what make someone say yes.

For emerging designers especially, the message was simple: the work doesn’t start with the design - it starts with how you listen, communicate and build rapport.

Practical, generous advice and a reminder that great projects begin with great relationships.

Thank you to the fabulous of for hosting our talk with on heritage in design as part of

We discovered heritage doesn’t have to mean “old” it can mean comfort, craft and timeless beauty.

Today’s interiors rework traditional elements into new combinations, balancing the tension between modern design and historic character.

From textured linen walls and evolved vinyl coverings to wallpapered ceilings and inset wardrobes, materials and craftsmanship bring depth and identity to a space.

Homes are becoming softer, calmer and more personal - places of wellbeing and sanctuary. Luxury isn’t about excess, but quality, texture and thoughtful detail.

Our role as designers is to guide the journey, helping clients layer colour, material and story to create spaces that feel both contemporary and timeless.

A look inside

Our design was influenced by the hotel’s rich history, as well as both southern and northern Italy. We brought these elements together using marbles, wood and stone using an earthy palette with touches of Azzurro blue.

Our favourite spot for a negroni is the imposing 16ft marble bar with bespoke stools.
