Another couple of Headband & detachable flower pin sets. I have added some colour complimenting beads to them. I even managed to do 2 in one day! Gosh I'm getting good at these headbands lol! Hot off the knitting press last night is the latest Baby Car Seat Hoodie Blanket with slots/hole included for the safety belts. It doesn't have to go in the car but is versatile in its pattern. I think this is the 14th one that I've done. The lady who commissioned this wanted it in shades of green, this was the prettiest shades of green I could find in the brand of wool I love using from James C Brett and as you can see it has some orange running through it in parts too. I have finished off the piece with a crochet blanket stitch edge/trim in a complimentary green. 100% machine washable. 🧶🍁🎨

Post from Aurora Arts:- At last week's Moon & Wellbeing Market at No. 17 Cafe & Bistro in Dipton, Co. Durham this little trio made their debut - Inukshuks are considered to be spiritual things by the Native Inuit of Canada and therefore under the Moon definition. Each one has specific gemstone chip bases and comes with information on what the specific crystal does/means. One of these is a very special one for somebody extremely special to me. I have customised it specifically to hold a meaning in every piece that is in/around the Inukshuk. I have also designed a special 3D container for it and will be making a liner to inside the container with a pull string top - photos to follow when they have been made. Can you guess which Inukshuk the extra special one it is? 🎨🍁🧵 (crystal chip bases from left to right:- Lapis Lazuli, Labradorite & Peach Moonstone.

What do you think of my newly named Puppy Pockets? I did 2 trials of these a month or so ago and seemingly they are a 'thing' now and I expect to be receiving a lot of orders for them. These are my new 2 'official' Puppy Pockets. They are pockets to put a small gemstone in and tie them to your bra, some women like wearing crystals near to their heart in their bras or just having them close to them in person. They are 2 inches in size. They can be done in various colours. Please message me if you would like one done for you or to give as a gift to someone. 🧶🍁🪡

Been busy this weekend planting & organizing my garden/yard sides of the house. Thrown away nearly all of the fake things - just the little ball beside my door's left but now its all real! I have to say, first time I have ever done this and even though I am a bit cream crackered, I rather like the 'real' deal...... I have designed my own garden so that its very low maintenance and I haven't done anything energetic on it for the past couple of years but this year I am going to go for it! This is just the beginning! 🌷🪻🌹

Finally, here are my 5 newly framed originals in my choice of frames and coloured mounts. In fact they are double mounted to lift my work off of the glass so you can see the 3D-ness to them and different reflections/irridescence effects. I am exceptionally pleased with these frames and a big "Thank You" to Team Valley Framers who did a fantastic job, I am beyond thrilled with them. Now I am going to get my other 14 originals done in the same frames and co-ordinating double mounts. These are me in a frame/mount! 🎨🍁🧶

Going on behind the scenes was this little number for me. I loved the colour combination of the wool on the Shacket and Jumper I did a little while back that I wanted to do a cardigan for myself in the same colours. I have used a contrasting wool from James C Brett to highlight certain areas and to add frilly bits to the ends of the cuffs and around the bottom of the scollopped cardigan bottom. I have used irridescent purple/teal beads and irridescent buttons to finish the look off. I must say I think I have outdone myself and knocked this one completely out of the park! 🧶🍁🪡

A rare one off Tulip flower broach from me which you can attach to anything you like permanently or temporarily. You can find this little beauty at No. 17 Cafe & Bistro in Dipton, Co. Durham or on my on-line shop, please click on the link below. I thought I would do one as it is after all coming up to the start of the Tulip season in downtown Ottawa where I am from. In Canada they have a 10 day Tulip Festival where there are lots of things to do/see and also Tulip carvings/sculptures painted in the brightest of colours. I loved this time of year when I lived there, all of the Tulip ranges everywhere for as far as they eye can see - there are over 1 million Tulips on display across Ottawa and 300,000 over 26 beds in Commissioners Park, downtown Ottawa . Why the Tulip connection is so important to Ottawa is because during WW2 the Dutch Royal Family were given refuge in Ottawa and the Netherlands sent a "Gift of Tulips" 100,000 of them which honor the Veterans in WW2. Its a sight to be seen in person for sure! In 2017 there was a special 150 year Anniversary Tulip created for Ottawa's age and the red rising from the base of the bulb signifies the red maple leaf of Canada. 🌷🇨🇦🌹
