There’s so much to discover in Chiang Mai, I didn’t think they had MUSHROOM for anything else 🤣🍄

I just found the cutest, most enchanting looking little cafe, something you would find in a fairy tale book.

Normally at these types of places you would expect sub par food and lots of crowds - both of which were untrue here.

I went for a northern Thai pork curry which tasted like something you would easily find in a fine dining restaurant imo as flavours were bursting and the pork was so tender. The drinks were prettily decorated with berries which made you not want to touch it! It was so reasonably priced - £6 for the lot which is actually insane.

I came in the morning and there was hardly anyone here, to be fair I went during low season (October) so maybe that’s why?

You can find this beautiful via their IG here: 🍄✨

Come spend the day with me as an expat mum in Chiang Mai, Thailand. ✨

My days are pretty much like this everyday apart from every morning I get to do what I like whilst the kids are at school! Pretty sweet I know. 🥰

Today I went for a boxing session at and then a deep oil massage at . Always so good here and the prices are 😍

As I work when I like, I start at 3pm for an intensive couple of hours before making a start on dinner. Sometimes I get takeaway.

I’m always on standby to make or receive calls throughout the evening plus responding to emails WHILST juggling being a mum and doing all the usual night time rituals like home cooked dinners, bath time and bedtime.

Then I work up until 11pm then it’s shower and bedtime for me! I’m loving this set up of my day, it gives me so much freedom to live my life and make a living at the same time.

Do you think you could work this way?

I just found the first western boxing studio in Chiang Mai! 🥊💥

This was such a fun way to keep fit and it’s in such a lovely space too. You can trial a class for only 250 baht to see if it’s your cup of tea. It was only opened this year and it was hard to get a spot so make sure you book in advance!

We had Bert teach us, I believe he’s the founder - he was super fun to spar with and made us laugh so much!

This is their IG - another amazing find to put on your list! 💥💥💥

I just found an epic cafe in Chiang Mai that has millions of carp and somewhere that makes you feel like you’re in a Studio Ghibli movie.

This one is a bit of a touristy spot however I’ve been twice now and each time it hasn’t been overcrowded at all. Prices are reasonable and for the added novelty of having beautiful koi fish circling your table as you eat is totally worth it. I took my 2 daughters on a date here and they both loved it. It was only an incredible 44p to feed them by bottle and 22p to feed them with fish food pellets.

Totally recommend this place as a family friendly place just make sure your kids don’t slip into the water!!

This place is called in Chiang Mai - there’s two branches, this one is in Hang D**g.

I’m a newbie expat in Thailand and I’ll be documenting all of my discoveries here. Follow for more incredible places ♥️

We love Thai food but sometimes you just crave a bit of stodgy English food DYAKNOWHATIMEAN?!

We satisfied our cravings when we tried Lime Leaf Kitchen. This restaurant had a really cute modest place with a chilled out vibe. It was hidden in the back alleys of Chiang Mai which made the experience even more enjoyable (particularly for me because I’m ridiculously romantic about hidden places).

It wasn’t on the ‘70 baht per meal’ cheap side but as an expat looking for good British food it’s 💯 worth it. Especially with the salad buffet - oh my god the salad buffet. I can’t stop thinking about it. As a greedy Asian person I love a good buffet too.

Anyway. If you’re ever in the area and fancy a lovely Sunday roast, it’s defo worth a visit, their IG is 🙏🍖🥕🥖🥔🍗

For anyone emigrating with young kids… this one’s for you! 🫵🏼

If I could tell myself 3 months ago what to expect and how to deal with I would tell myself this.

With everything moving at 100mph it’s easy to forget basic parenting and to lose patience. I felt myself getting angry so easily and I could see myself spiralling! What good is moving to a new country if you get impatient with the kids more than enjoying them?

I told myself to come down to their level and just understand them at least. Once I understood I felt my empathy and patience returning and they got less annoying 😅 or maybe I was being the annoying one?

Anyhow I hope this helps anyone looking to plan a big move! ♥️ everyone needs a reset or reminder sometimes 🫶🏼

After years of complaining about how expensive food shopping is in the UK I was really excited to go food shopping to see whether it would be cheaper and what kinda staples would look like here.

Come grocery shopping with me and check out what their prices are. Since this reel I’ve done a few more grocery shops and I can tell you, you get about 25% more for your money here. 🥴

Why did I set up shop in Chiang Mai?

Single life me would’ve probably ended up living in Bangkok as I love a fast paced environment. But emigrating with 2 young children isn’t something I take lightly and wanted to make sure it was a good place for them to grow up. I’ve loved discovering my new surroundings, but there’s still so much more to find; I’ve only just scratched the surface and I’ve hardly shared anything with you all!

Emigrating from the UK is probably one of my best life moves to date and I have absolutely no regrets! If you would emigrate, where would you go?

Guys….could this be THE ONE??✨

Outside was a construction site complete with banging, sawing, drilling - every single annoying sound you could think of. But…

This area was quite new and had only been around for about 1.5 years so everything was quite new and still in development. The construction would only go on until November so 5 more months of this ghastly noise then business as usual. Plus the house was pretty sound proof.

Let me know what you think in the comments, would you rent this place?

Thailand so far!

I’ve seen a done so many things so far and I’m in love with discovering new things and places on the daily.

Thankfully I’m so lucky I get to spend half of my day wondering around and seeing what Thailand has on offer 😍

I’m excited to show you all the gems I’ve found so far 🥰
