"Yes so? I walk 20kms everyday to get fresh vegetables for my children and family from the nearest town", Khadija exclaimed proudly. She wakes up at the crack of dawn in the remote region of Thar desert, making each day a journey into eternity, detached from the concept of time. Her day sounds like a lifetime, from walking long distances every day to cooking for the family, collecting water from wells, tending to the livestock, maintaining or expanding sections of the huts made of mud, and hand crafting rillis (quilts). I walk 20kms everyday to get fresh vegetables for my children and family from the nearest town", Khadija exclaimed proudly as she brought her favourite cow towards us, carrying her most valuable craftwork in her arms. She wakes up at the crack of dawn in the remote region of Thar desert, making each day a journey into eternity, detached from the concept of time. Her day sounds like a lifetime, from walking long distances every day to cooking for the family, collecting water from wells, tending to the livestock, maintaining or expanding sections of the huts made of mud, and hand crafting rillis (quilts) as pictured.
