Another one for the “not all wedding plates look the same” series. My lovely customer sent me lots of photographs of the scene, on a vista surrounded by rolling hills, a wild flower lined aisle leading to the spot where they exchanged vows. I picked the foxgloves out of their flowers for the border (which I often do - as many Easter eggs as possible). I proposed a subtle outline of the couple, demonstrated with a mock up before we committed to it. I do hope it was a wonderful surprise for the couple and one that will bring happiness for a long time to come 💘

A wedding platter bejewelled with personal details. This commission came before the wedding. The customer sent a picture of the open air space where it was due to take place, and sent me a list of things that make up who they are, both individually and as a couple.

Occasionally, I receive a PDF with photographs, and lists - which I am always impressed by - but rest assured, you don’t need to do this.

Our “Life on a Plate” commissions are all about the details, I’m always happy to do the research to pull the images - unless it’s specific, maybe a particular angle of a place, or the specific colour of something. It’s just one of the ways that we make this easier and more of a joyful experience.

To the same point, we’re always here to answer your questions. Want a dancing elephant on an aqueduct, no problem!

The gesture of making someone happy (swipe for the finished piece). I have to be cautious when showing my pieces, some are bought for themselves but so many are to surprise loved ones. I only occupy a tiny space on instagram but the idea of someone seeing their home or similar on a plate and spoiling a surprise is terrifying to me, which I know is fairly slim, but not impossible in this mad world we live in 💫 Your secret is safe with me.

It’s been a busy old time with a run on hand-painted wedding plates but I’m absolutely loving it. Order to delivery times stated as 4 - 6 weeks but I’ll always try and get your piece out to you as swiftly as possible 🧡

Had to pull out all the stops to get this out in time for the big day. This is a medium “Your Life on a Plate” Platter. The wedding venue is central with some key life moments and lots of details in the rim. There’s a lot of work in these pieces but each one really is a labour of love 🧡 My congratulations to the happy couple 🧡
